Reviews often mention
pho(117) soup(32) beef(17) bowl(17) vietnamese(17) quick(16) spring roll(12) recommend(12) broth(12) tea(10) favorite(10) roll(10)Dirty place. Pho overrated. Spring rolls might as well be vegetarian with little pork & all carrots.
Confirming the terrible smell. Food is mid, the pho is much better across the street at Pho Bang. The beef was just not fresh & tasteless.
Once u walk in the place looks old, dirty & terrible smell. The food is OK but that smell already ruined the appetite.
Want a bucket-load of delicious pho served to you in 2 minutes for the lowest price in the city? Pho Bac will deliver. Don't bother with the fresh rolls though, just order a bucket of pho.
Food is great but the whole place smells terrible. Smells like piss, really unbearable. They need to fix that.
Easily my favourite Vietnamese place in Montreal. I've been coming here my entire life! Update: still unrivaled. Update #2: currently live in Ottawa & have found a place that *just* surpasses this, but Pho Bac still has my heart
Ordered 3 pho for take away on Christmas night. Very hard working people. The restaurant was a bit dirty, but the food was nicely packaged & prepared very quickly. They took credit card.
i agree with many reviews here "terrible smell but good food" in my pov, just delicious food arent enough for business - please put more efforts the restaurant clean
Terrible smell. Great food. Not sure what is up with the smell but it smelled like piss or homelessness. Pretty strong smell all around the restaurant. We moved to a different corner but smell was still there. Sat through it, got our food it was good. No complaints on food. Just the smell was terrible.
Good service, but I know two other places where the pho is better & the place is cleaner.
Hard to enjoy your pho when the resto smells of toilet. Soiled toilet.
No frills Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown with a wide variety viet menu. The spring rolls were fairly good & so was the pho. Interesting that they give you lemon (& not lime) & also no jalapeno.
Impression authentique. On a demandé des recommandations, on n'aurait pas choisi ce plat par nous même (la crepe) & on a adoré!
Went to this restaurant with my friend, we really enjoyed the vegetable soup! Staff are extremely friendly!
