About

Pho Bac focuses on the preparation of authentic Vietnamese soups and traditional rice noodle bowls. The menu highlights slow-simmered beef and chicken bone broths infused with star anise, cinnamon, and ginger. Patrons customize their bowls with fresh bean sprouts, Thai basil, sliced jalapenos, and lime wedges provided at every table. Beyond the signature noodle soups, the offerings include crispy spring rolls and grilled meat vermicelli plates served with pungent fish sauce. The dining environment maintains a functional, high-turnover layout designed for efficient service of hot meals. Stainless steel tables and minimalist seating emphasize the practicality of the culinary experience. This establishment serves as a dedicated destination for individuals seeking classic, broth-based comfort food prepared according to established regional standards without unnecessary garnish or complex culinary embellishments.

Our final stopping point was China Town during our visit to Old Montreal, & our visit to China Town wasn't complete until we found a place to eat & enjoy our late lunch, & our great find was Pho Bac!!
As far as pho was concerned, I can honestly say it was one of the best Pho Tai I had, & I had quite a few phos in various countries & places. The pho broth was excellent. My wife also enjoyed her Bun with grilled chicken & especially imperial rolls. She said this vegetable-filled spring roll was simply the best she ever tasted.
Service was rendered with courtesy & efficiency.
Oh, btw, this is NOT cash-only establishment as many other reviewers stated. They take cc & debit cards.
What a gem of a place this really is! Highly recommended!

all good!
(I just found the noise levels a bit high when it is crowded.)

I went there over a friend's recommendation. What a horrible mistake that was. The food is below par. The Restaurant is incredibly dirty, wet floors are covered in cardboard & you can "feel" the scam like nature of the restaurant. It's shady & ugly. Only recommended for people who are currently taking penicillin or for the biggest cheapskate you know. Dirt cheap dirty restaurant.

Tea was great though ! Would tea again. 2/10
