Extremely disappointing meal. I had the 2 scrambled eggs with bacon & a side of baked beans. The eggs were not real eggs but rather from a mix, they were pale & bland, tasted like nothing. I thought the beans might be interesting, they cost $2.75 extra & there was literally only 1-2 tablespoons of them. They tasted like they came from a can.
Went for breakfast with two people. Ordered the half oreo waffle, with eggs/bacon & the petinos potatoes (hollandais & cheese on top). Was eggcellent!!

Good server but I had a really bad experience today & I want to submit some feedback. I hope it was a fluke, but the portions of potatoes were MUCH smaller than usual, the eggs were burnt nearly black & the food was barely even warm. Even the replacement i asked for was rubbery & old
I'd be willing to give it another chance as I've been a regular for some time, but this was a horrible experience.
Edited to say that it was a one off. The onwer was very responsive to feedback & everything has been great since
This spot is super popular! We waited about 20 minutes for a table for five, which wasn't bad considering how crowded it was. The servers were understandably a bit slower because of how busy it was, but overall, it was worth the wait. The food came out quickly, & the portions were generous. My favorite dish was the salmon avocado toast-it was so tasty! The Cardinal was a good choice too, & the Swiss asparagus crepe was delicious. The over-easy egg was cooked perfectly, with a runny yolk, & the fresh fruits were a nice touch. Great experience overall!
I've been going there for the past year or so but ever since Maria & some of the staff move to different Petinos this places is going down the drain the pancake are small & terrible hard or just raw the eggs are cold so sorry me & friends are never going back well I was at DDO locations & it was great to bad I have to go out of my way to eat oh well that's what happened with some chaine restaurant once they have your money they don't care but to bad all my friends will not go to Lasalle sorry Mary
Expect a food Coma after Petinos. Portions are generous, fresh & high quality. They never disappoint. They know how to actually make fries! Their fries are super crispy & crunchy. Chicken poutine with an egg is my favourite. The waiters are super attentive.
This is my second shot at Petinos & I'm definitely starting to get the hype! There was only a short wait to get seated at this restaurant, but nothing outrageous. The restaurant was absolutely packed so I'm surprised they had a free table. It was so loud indoors, the level of volume made it difficult to talk to the others in my party. I ordered a Versant with over easy eggs, bacon, & a half waffle. It was absolutely delicious. The bacon was flavourful & the potatoes were crispy. The portion was absolutely huge &, by the time I got to the waffle, it was a struggle to finish my plate, but it was definitely worth the price. I also got a Mimosa to go along with my meal & I was happy to see you get a mini bottle of Champagne so you could mix your mimosa to your liking. Others in my group got similar meals, & the food was universally liked. However, if there's one thing that stayed the same between this Petinos & the other location I visited, it's the service. At this location, it took about 10-15 minutes for our orders to be taken, about 15-20 minutes for our food to arrive. We had to ask multiple times for water or maple syrup, had to ask multiple times for the receipt, & as we were trying to pay, the server was more interested in the game on TV than in closing out her table. Thankfully, I rarely go to restaurants for the service, & Petinos hits the mark where it counts.
