Perogie Lili comes across as a cozy, welcoming neighborhood gem offering homemade Ukrainian fare that feels comforting and authentic. The space is small and colorful with floral murals, creating a homey atmosphere, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive. The menu features a wide range of pierogies, many vegetarian options, and hearty borscht, with fillings like potato and cheddar, caramelized onions, sour cream, cherry, cabbage, and wild mushrooms with bacon. Dishes are described as fresh to order, soft and flavorful, with dough that melts in the mouth. There is a sense of care in the experience, with good value, generous portions, and the option to dine in or take away, plus samples and helpful guidance from staff. A portion of proceeds supporting humanitarian relief in Ukraine adds meaning to the visit. Overall, it feels like a place to return to explore more flavors and to feel at home.
What a great addition to the Mile End food scene! The potato perogies with onions, sour cream, & dill are absolutely fabulous. A true classic like mamma used to make!
& the sweet cheese perogies are equally delicious! 😋 Friendly staff & creative artwork round up this must go to place!
Had some yesterday. Probably going to get more today! I can't stop thinking of them. Get the cheddar perogies with sour cream, caramelized onion, bacon & dill. You won't regret :)
10/10 would comeback & buy the bulk perogie. Got the sweet cheese & potato cheese, they don't skim on the bacon. The borscht is hearty & warm, really suitable for winter days 💕
I may not be Ukrainian but as a Polish Canadian these perogies hit the spot. Had this restaurant come up on my Tiktok & knew I had to try & it definitely didn't disappoint. Incredibly authentic & reminded me of my own family dinners. The borsch was also delicious. I overheard they've only been only for about 5 months so I encourage everyone to come try it out. Plus a portion of your order goes to support humanitarian relief in Ukraine.
Today, I got takeout from this restaurant & tried the potato & cheddar vareniki, generously sprinkled with bacon! The dough was tender, & the filling was very tasty. I'll definitely come back again
I love the potato cheddar but after trying the Kapusta (caramelized cabbage filling), I think is my favorite of them all!!! It's seasonal but please keep it 🥲
