Review Summary

Pâtisserie Chocolaterie Raffin stands out in Laval for refined pastries and chocolates, with reviewers praising the high quality, attractive presentation and a broad range from croissants and baguettes to tartlets, millefeuille and elegant bûches. The flavors are described as fresh and well balanced, and the chocolate selections are singled out as superb, while service is consistently noted as warm, attentive and professional, making it a reliable choice for everyday treats or special orders. Several customers mention gift packaging and the ability to order custom cakes that impress guests, and many say the pastries look almost too good to eat. A few comments point to occasional inconsistency in texture or sweetness, perceptions of higher prices, and minor issues with in-store hours or to-go packaging, but overall the bakery is regarded as among the best in Laval, with items like the croissants, millefeuille and strawberry desserts receiving frequent praise and many visitors returning for repeats.

Not impressed, wanted some fresh bread & croissants so we decided to try a bakery closer than the one we usually go to downtown ( croissants Monkland ). I ordered a sandwich with baguette, ham, cheese & mustard only to realize once I got home that they used yellow mustard. Barely any cheese & ham, for 8.50$ was expecting a little more inside but the whole yellow mustard really annoyed me. The « Parisian » bread was almost burnt outside & raw inside & the butter croissants were not buttery at all & quite stale. Don't expect French bakery experience, even the Costco croissants are better.

This is not your average bakery, everything is high end. It doesn't just taste good but looks great at well. As they say, you eat with your eyes. Highly recommend this place.
