Review Summary

Reviews describe Pâtisserie Chocolaterie Raffin as a refined, high-end patisserie where fresh pastries, chocolates and breads are standout, with an inviting shop and attentive service. The range of offerings includes croissants, tartlets, millefeuille, tiramisu and other classics, all noted for quality, balance and attractive presentation, though a lemon tart and a chocolate tartlet were described as disappointing in some comments. The viennoiseries are praised for their flakiness and the pastries for their elegance, and several tasters call the croissants, millefeuille and berry desserts among the best in Laval. Customers also appreciate gift packaging, the variety of products and the overall atmosphere. While prices are on the premium side, most feel the quality justifies the cost and the staff are repeatedly described as warm and helpful. Overall, Raffin comes across as a go-to destination for refined French pâtisserie and chocolate creations, with many reviewers eager to return and explore more.

Not impressed, wanted some fresh bread & croissants so we decided to try a bakery closer than the one we usually go to downtown ( croissants Monkland ). I ordered a sandwich with baguette, ham, cheese & mustard only to realize once I got home that they used yellow mustard. Barely any cheese & ham, for 8.50$ was expecting a little more inside but the whole yellow mustard really annoyed me. The « Parisian » bread was almost burnt outside & raw inside & the butter croissants were not buttery at all & quite stale. Don't expect French bakery experience, even the Costco croissants are better.

This is not your average bakery, everything is high end. It doesn't just taste good but looks great at well. As they say, you eat with your eyes. Highly recommend this place.
