Review Summary

Pas de Problème Café is described as a stylish, vibey spot with a relaxed atmosphere that works for solo visitors or groups, where the coffee and food feel restaurant quality and the Jamaican patties stand out. The space gets praise for its design, the vinyl, and the overall vibe, with many noting the patty dough is freshly made and the jerk chicken grilled cheese is memorable. Drinks shine, from excellent oat cappuccinos and gingerbread lattes to the coco caramel latte, though several reviews mention that portions can feel small for the price and the menu can be pricey. Service is a mixed bag, with many friendly and attentive staff but some encounters described as slow or aloof, which can dampen the experience. While wifi is not always available and seating can be tight, a back terrace offers a welcome option on nicer days.

I'm serious this pattie changed my life

I haven't tried many things / stayed very long, but I'm in awe of this place. It is one of the best upgrades to the area since I moved here in 2018.

- rare menu items done well - excellent for people who want to try new things. My egg salad sandwich came in a high quality box as if I were being sold a watch (who is your graphic designer/printer?!)
- coffee is actually so good, has that je ne said quoi when it first hits your mouth. Best in the area easily
- the layout & design are super contemporary without feeling soulless. Tons of Jamaican art that helps makes the space what it is
- music is on vinyl all day & they have dominos
- open 7am - 9pm (this seems like the kind of place to close at like 2:45 pm but it's NOT!!!)
- full meals all day for normal prices. between the flavours & presentation / design) each plate feels crafted & thought out

The ONLY thing to be warned about is it's not super speedy. So if you're just passing by for a coffee, make sure you have 10-15 to kill even for a short line. With the quality of coffee & food I don't really see how it could be faster so it's not a criticism just a warning.

10/10

I've been here every other day since it opened! The BEC is amazing , love the jerk grilled cheese & the 1/4 jerk is my go to. Best Jamaican food in the city if montreal. The patty is the reason to visit as well!

Gem!! This is a vibrant cafe with great selection of food. Had Chicken & Pork Belly, tasted great.

Atmosphere is quite soothing, beware though, there is no wifi!! Which has its upside of course, but quite problematic if you want to stay there longer. But that may be intentional.

Overall, will make my way here more often when I visit Mtl.

'Pas de problème ' is a coffee shop with a very chill interior design & delicious coffee.

I have been to several coffee shops in Montreal over the years. Personally, I think:

The coffee shops in St -Henry generally have delicious products & give people a very hype & stylish feeling.

The coffee shops in the Old Port area are suitable for tourists, but less soul.

The coffee shops in Mt -Royal are petty bourgeoises & quite low key.

The coffee shops in Jean Talon area are close to the'little Italy' ,a feeling of home.

Vibes 10/10. FYI there is seating in the backyard if you want a quieter area

We bought both of the apple & cucumber juices & tasted them among our group of 5. The unanimous opinion was that they were both unappetizing. The yellow juice was too gingery & peppery, & the green juice was too strong of celery.

The place looks nice. It's got nice decor. I had the bread & butter & jam, it was good.
However, for drinks, I can't have coffee & milk, so my usual order is chai latte with oat milk. But here their chai latte mix, is premixed with regular milk! & there's no hot tea available.
I would say, don't premix your chai mix with milk. One, In this day & age, not everyone drinks milk. Two, it makes it easier to go bad in this weather sitting in a bucket of ice.
