Parma Café is described as a lively spot with a wide menu of Italian comfort foods and drinks, where tiramisu and various paninis, including popular chicken and steak options, come highly praised along with fresh bread and good coffee. The space feels modern and bright with high ceilings, big windows, and plenty of seating, making it a nice place for studying or hanging out, and the staff are generally friendly and attentive. Some reviews note occasional service hiccups such as misordered or delayed items during busy lunch periods, but overall the atmosphere, value, and consistent quality keep customers returning to Parma Café for meals, coffee, and desserts.
Wandered in here while getting lost looking for Tommy Café. THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER! The breakfast sandwich was beautiful, delicious & affordable. The service was efficient & pleasant.
Kinda surprised this place is so well rated! The atmosphere is great, but the sandwiches are really underwhelming. The day I was there, all the coffees were insanely sweet (overheard others mention it as well, so it wasn't a one off). Anyways, wanted to like this spot but feels like i wasted $25.
Just had the greatest lunch ever! Every bite was absolute perfection-flavors on point, textures just right, & the kind of meal that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate it. & it was a winner for my picky son. Service was exceptional!
I think it's a genuine & decent gesture that they offer free meals for their members. I had this delicious panini today. I totally recommend this place.
Sandwich are really good but I noticed since a few months that they put a less chicken in the parma club. For a 20$ Sandwich I believe this is a wrong move.

Heard some good things about this place. Decided to stop here first after driving from Ottawa. Was blown away that a sandwhich & tiramisu was $27. Cashier was friendly until he wasent, which was coincidentally when he saw we hadent left a tip( we tip in cash). The ordering is chaotic, had no idea where to wait for food. Waited 17 minutes for a sandwhich with 2 slices of meat & a slice of cheese on it. A bunch of the hard pieces of pickled banana peppers you find at the bottom of the bucket & a whole olive. At the 12 minute mark, we met the female employee who spoke very quietly in a crowded space. It was busy. She said something while holding a sandwhich, I assumed after it had been a while that it was mine. I turned to ask her about the sandwhich. She asked me what my name was. I told her. She then says'Well, this is Madison's order not yours'. I did say okay & sorry. She trudged over to the crowd of people. Looked very displeased being there. My sandwhich came & it was plopped down between my partner & I with a'Here'. This lady proceeded to stare at me while I was eating, making me very uncomfortable. I didn't finish the sandwhich, I just told my partner we could leave. We thanked them on the way out & left.
There is no where to hang your coat that is visible to you.
Staff are iffy & it genuinely made me uncomfortable to be in there.
Sandwhich was...meh. dry. No sauce. Nothing. Just oil &'pickled vegetables', just banana peppers.
Its over priced & you get attitude for mis hearing.
Don't think I will be back. I usually eat at Dagwoods( not available in Ottawa) & I regret not doing that.
Partner said he enjoyed the tiramisu, but it was a bought in dessert so....
I just got their panini of the month (fried chicken, bacon, jam & peanut butter). It was AWESOME. There's a lot of fillings, contrary to many other expensive sandwich places where the sandwich taste more of bread that what's supposed to be in the fillings. & also, the bread quality at Parma is very good. & very decent price for the quantity, we don't feel too much screwed up as a consumer - which is the case for many other restaurants who charge very high but for very few ingredients.
The waitress was very busy with many customers (no wonder considering this is a very good cafe) but she took the time to acknowledge me while taking care of all the orders behind the counter & she was very nice.
Cafe is pretty small , I wouldn't go in with a big group . The menu is also written very small but they had a lot of options ! The cashier was kind enough to explain different options for me :)
Parma Café, a great spot to grab a coffee, have a sandwich & relax! The location is in the heart of Downtown & easily accessible. The staff is friendly too!!
