Parma Café is described as a casual Italian cafe with a broad menu of food and desserts, where fresh bread and generous paninis such as steak capicollo and porchetta, along with classics like tiramisu and cannoli, stand out for authentic flavors. Across reviews, the vibe is cozy and welcoming, the atmosphere lively, and the staff friendly and helpful, though a few notes point to occasional counter delays or a busy, noisy space. The sandwiches and deli items consistently come up as the top picks, with many praising the mortadella panini, the balance of fillings, and the crisp bread, while some diners mention value as a plus and others caution that take-out or lunchtime crowds can affect experience. Desserts and pasta are also highlighted for quality, with coffee praised by many and at least one miss on an iced latte. Overall, Parma Café is viewed as a reliable choice for flavorful, substantial meals and casual dining, offering good value and a memorable sandwich experience, while acknowledging that peak times can feel crowded and service can vary.
I just got their panini of the month (fried chicken, bacon, jam & peanut butter). It was AWESOME. There's a lot of fillings, contrary to many other expensive sandwich places where the sandwich taste more of bread that what's supposed to be in the fillings. & also, the bread quality at Parma is very good. & very decent price for the quantity, we don't feel too much screwed up as a consumer - which is the case for many other restaurants who charge very high but for very few ingredients.
The waitress was very busy with many customers (no wonder considering this is a very good cafe) but she took the time to acknowledge me while taking care of all the orders behind the counter & she was very nice.
Cafe is pretty small , I wouldn't go in with a big group . The menu is also written very small but they had a lot of options ! The cashier was kind enough to explain different options for me :)
Parma Café, a great spot to grab a coffee, have a sandwich & relax! The location is in the heart of Downtown & easily accessible. The staff is friendly too!!
I got my coffee to-go from here for a week straight in late August 2024 & it was always super crowded inside & had a line-up, so it's clearly pretty known around downtown Montreal. I wouldn't come & do work here, but definitely to grab a coffee & spend some time with friends. The baristas were super friendly.
Parma Café on Bishop is a delightful spot, especially if you're around Concordia University. The location is super convenient, making it an easy stop whether you're grabbing a quick coffee between classes or meeting up with friends. The staff here are genuinely friendly & welcoming, which adds to the cozy, laid-back vibe. I had a coffee during my visit, & it was spot on-rich, smooth, & served just right. It's clear they take pride in their brew. The café itself has a nice, relaxed atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind or get some work done. I'll definitely be coming back!
Got the charcuterie sandwich for lunch around 1 PM - friendly service, & got my meal very quickly! The sandwich has nice, crispy bread & the meats taste amazing. I would've added some more sauce or something as it's a little dry. I would recommend & I plan to come back & try others!
