I am limited on what I can eat and must avoid foods with MSG's and other preservatives. The food at this restaurant is so fresh and tasty, I can eat anything on the menu! Outstanding cuisine and service! My go to restaurant :)
Excellent all the way. I had a filet mignon and my wife a hot seafood platter. Both were outstanding and the service was friendly and attentionate. Great entertainment too - live singer. Would definitely recommend.
It was my first time dining at Ossiano, and after reading some reviews i was excited to try it with my wife.
First impressions when walking in was great. Love the setup of the restaurant, the live band was playing and everyone seemed to be having a nice evening.
We get seated at our table which was right near the band, which my wife and i really enjoyed. We were just in awe by the nice decor, the extremely high ceilings and vibe of the whole place.
It took awhile for someone to come see us, and we never had a waiter for the table, it was more whoever was in the area..which is fine, but usually at a higher class place like this you would think to have a specific waiter.
They didn't bring any kind of wine list, which was a bit confusing, but i asked for a glass of pinot noir and the waiter was happy to oblige.
The menu isn't the largest of menus, but had a little bit of something for everyone.
My wife ordered a salad and i had the tuna tartare. Now the only reason my review is giving 2 stars for food was because of the tartare. It was delicious.
We both ordered the filet mignon, because we heard the steak was very good..let me tell you, this is a false statement.
My wife ordered her steak medium well and i ordered it medium...both steaks came under cooked. I personally like it a little more rare, and knowing that restaurants tend to under cook, i would be fine with medium rare...but my steak was RARE. it was fine most way through, but the last 1/3 of the steak was almost RAW.
Usually i would have told the waiter to put it back on the grill, but a waiter only came by our table when we were almost done eating. not once did they come by to ask if everything was ok.
And both of our filet mignons were 2 completely different cuts..one was nice and thick, the other was almost flat, like what you get at a grocery store.
Our bill came out to $145.00 for 2 entrees, 2 steaks and 1 glass of wine... for that money i would go to 100 more restaurants.
Great idea for a restaurant, sooo much potential, but awful execution.
Excellent restaurant qui vient tout juste d'ouvrir dans l'ouest de l'île. Nous avons passé une superbe soirée. La nourriture était tout simplement exquise, les fruits de mer étaient parmi les meilleurs que nous avons mangés que ça soit à Montréal ou ailleurs. L'ambiance et le décor accentuent l'expérience. Magnifique carte des vins, Tino le sommelier nous a suggéré une excellente bouteille se mariant parfaitement avec notre repas.
Cette soirée est certainement à refaire et nous suggérons cette destination à tous ceux à la recherche d'une expérience culinaire extraordiniaire.

Great experience last night at Ossiano. Set in a beautiful romantic decor, the fresh seafood, exceptional wine list and outstanding new dessert menu will definitely have me coming back for more.
Visited the restaurant again. First visit was December 2015.
Sorry to say not much improvement. The staff still making mistakes. The food uninspired and not great at anything.
In conclusion, the owners figured if they built a nice restaurant then people would overlook just OK food.
I'm from the west island and I've seen my share of restaurants that have not worked at location. When you walk in it's an experience they cannot be explained the Decour is phenomenal that staircase is just mind blowing. I took my wife there on our one year anniversary and it's definitely the perfect romantic spot that will just set the mood. I have to admit I was kind of worried that it would be just a good place for looks but I'm telling you with all my experience this place definitely surpassed my expectations there cuisine was phenomenal. We started off with an Tuna Tartar fantastic!!!!! Then I had a Filet mignon cooked medium rare perfect !!!my wife had the red snapper wow! Then the dessert PHENOMENAL! I rarely write reviews on restaurants but this was a must and it was definitely a restaurant I don't want to lose I'll be back very soon!!!!
First impression very beautiful decor & ambience.The live music was a great touch and blended in well with the given atmosphere.However everything apart from that I was severely dissapointed. The service throughout the night was nothing short of appalling, as the appetizers arrived my friend and I got the wrong plates and given we were only two the mistake was short lived.After having ordered the main course my friend asked to have another glass of wine and was given the wrong one.After having waiting at least 1-1:15 for the food which inevitably rendered me not hungry to arrive I was given a plate dropped in front of me on top of my cutlery for no given reason and then they realised it wasn't for me and gave it to the table beside me. Once my friends got their plates I received mine a good 3-4 minutes later which was not great and the meal was good but not excellent to my great surprise given the price of it. All in all of you want to spend your money on live music and bad service this is the place to be.
Great ambiance. Top service with Maurice spending the extra attention needed to make this a 5 star.
Desserts are spectacular and unique.
Wine is reasonably priced with a nice selection.
Defiantly worth a try.

AMAZING food AMAZING ambiance!! The decor is beautiful, the service was fantastic!! I had the tuna tartar which was delicious and the halibut which was cooked to perfection. Others at my table enjoyed the salmon tartar, the chowder, the pork chop and the steak. Everything was delicious and everyone was very impressed with their meal! Overall it was the perfect night. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy a nice dinner in the West Island. Can't wait to go back!
This restaurant is fabulous. The staff tends to you and goes out of their way to please their customers. Although it is only their first month in business, they are doing so well. They constantly make room for improvement and awknowledge that the first month will always be the rockiest. Managing a new staff, making sure the kitchen is doing their job, pleasing the clients, these are all things that take time. I hope Ossianos clients are patient as much as I am because it is a faboulous place that will do so well.
The nasty comments that are being written are from people who are jealous and can't bare to see others be successful. I have one thing to say to you (you know who you are) if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all.

Beautifully decorated restaurant rivals any downtown Montreal restaurant. Our service was 5 star including our waiter and there was no delay getting our food. I was very disappointed with the food. I'm hoping that they are able to work out the kinks and stay afloat. For one, my wife ordered the seafood hot platter. The portion was good but the octopus and calamari were a really soggy. They really need to be grilled more. I decided to try the North American sea bass. I expected something similar to a thick Chilean sea bass found at all high end restaurants which gives a wow factor. Instead the bass was a thin small fish similar to a trout. It tasted good but for the price you pay at $32 a plate, I was expecting something better. I would rather pay a few dollars more and get a better piece of fish. I'm willing to go back and try this restaurant again and I hope the owners will make some changes in the kitchen so they can compete the other high end restaurant in the west island.
Second visit to this restaurant, and it was as impressive as the first. The decor is absolutely phenomenal, service and staff go out of their way to make sure your dining experience is the best, and the food....amazing! Oysters --so fresh and tasty, a must for fans. Beet salad, veal cheeks appetizer, tuna tartar -- all delicious. The main course, the halibut was incredible! The West Island needed a place like this, and it won't be long until patrons will drive from downtown to eat here. Keep in mind that they are currently doing a "soft opening", in order to get everything running like a well oiled machine, and some of the items on the menu may not be available....for now. I will give them the benefit of the doubt though that those dishes will be as great as what they offer now. Can't wait to go back!
Décevant! Service long et très moyen, le riz aux fruits de mer pour deux à $76 petite portion une seule crevette , quelques calmars et des palourdes . La serveuse elle même était embarrassée pour le partager! Le thon grillé était froid à l'intérieur . Le pain lui-même donné avec parcimonie, le service très lent. De plus le restaurant est très bruyante et pour couronner le tout, il y avait dans la mezzanine un mariage avec danse et DG!!!! Le tout pour près de 100$ par personne ! Le cadre et la vaisselle sont très beaux, mais nous n'y retournerons pas
A lot of the things on menu were not available . Good was not hot. The thing we liked the most were the raw oysters that were not on menu but we found out they had them by talking to one of the bus boys. Service was slow. It was my husbands birthday and we were told he would get a birthday desert but they brought us desert menu . I had to remind them twice that we were expecting the birthday desert that we were told he would reveive. My meal came with rapini and I was very happy for that as I told them how much I loved rapini . The meal came , no rapini. I had to remind them ... fish was full of bones.. All in all very disappointed for the expensive price tag
What an amazing evening! The decor is stunning and the staff caters to your every need. Polite, professional and attention to details are dead on. The food is delicious and the plate portions are very generous. The desserts are amazing and the plate presentations are spectacular. We will definitely be dining there frequently. A must try.
This was supposed to be a very high end restaurant and certainly that was their aspiration in terms of decor, staff professionalism and prices, but execution was poor in most categories. Decor was exceptional and professionalism and friendliness of wait staff was also superior. However this did not compensate for major failings: MANY items on their appetizer, main course and dessert menus were unavailable, making ordering a memory test. Similarly their wine list, though extensive on paper, was lacking several items that were listed. Although appetizers arrived quickly and were very good, the wait for our mains was very long. When they arrived we were very impressed by quality, presentation and flavours but unimpressed that they were only Luke warm from standing presumably. We asked for tea and decaf coffee and were shocked by the response that their tea and decaf shipment hadn't come in (how difficult would it be to go to Costco for stop gap supplies!!). We ordered a coffee and an espresso and after waiting 20 minutes only received one and were told that there was a problem with the espresso machine (thus was only 6 days after their opening). Despite the very impressive decor, a visit to the men's room revealed only one stall and 2 holes in the wall where urinals were to eventually be installed!! We spent over $200 (before tip) on 2 appetizers, 3 mains, 1 dessert, 2 glasses of wine and 1 coffee - at over 70$ per person one would expect much better execution! To my view they were clearly unprepared to open and should not have done so until they were properly setup. Despite the good and professional wait staff, I have to wonder about the business sense of the management/owner.
A disappointing first experience. Walking into Ossiano for the very first time we were impressively greeted with a decor and ambiance that appeared to be exceptional. This was going to be an amazing evening! We could not have been more wrong. We arrived on time and waited 30 minutes for our reserved table. The menu was then described to us where 7 of 14 appetizers and 2 of 10 entrees were not available. Our first 3 wine choices were not available so we agreed to their recommendation all choosing the same wine. By the time we got to our 3rd bottle there was none left. Our appetizers arrived 90 mins later. We started the main course at 10:30 PM, 3 hours after arriving. The poor servers were apologizing all night. The food was good, not great. A lot to improve before we go back.
