Best breakfast poutine I've ever had! Someone recommended this spot so we took the metro & walked to check it out. It was really busy but the service was super fast & our waitress was great. I wanted to get a picture of the breakfast poutine I ordered but it was so good I forgot...
I recently stumbled upon Orange Cafe, a charming breakfast spot with both a cozy & bustling ambiance. Their menu is deliciously diverse, offering a variety of options to choose from. The service is attentive, & the welcoming atmosphere makes it an ideal place to kickstart your day.
I tried orange café three times for brunches. It is usually crowded & the service is fair. The first two times were so good. I am on gluten free diet. They have gluten free toasts (almost extra 3$ charge) & I asked for sweet potatoes instead of the potatoes (also extra charge). The sweet potatoes were good & the whole dish was delicious. The 3rd time I went there, I ordered the same thing I had before with the gluten free toasts. I started eating & I had one whole toast, & all of a sudden the waitress came to tell me that I got the one with normal/gluten toasts & she apologized for this mistake. They brought me another plate but this time the pouched eggs were not well cooked. I got so bloated & with the uncooked pouched eggs , I felt like vomiting. The last experience was not pleasant for me at all. Thank God I am not celiac or allergic otherwise this mistake could harm me in a very bad way. They did not charge me (which is the least they can do). I was bloated & I felt heaviness the whole day coz of this mistake. I put 3 star to pay more attention to such things as this may cause real harm for people with strict dietary restrictions. Despite my last bad experience, they have good options & it is a good place to have a breakfast or a brunch.
Ok, wow. I probably would have passed this place by without even noticing it if it hadn't been for the recommendation of our Airbnb host. It's lovely inside, the booths are so comfy, & the service was quick & wonderful. The menu is big, almost too big, because it's so hard to decide what to get. Everything sounded so good. I don't think you could be disappointed with anything though. We tried omelets, wraps, breakfast sandwiches, smoothies & breakfast potatoes. Everything was amazing. My kids asked to go back tomorrow. We will definitely return if we visit Montreal again.
A breakfast joint you would want to bring your mother too! 🥞 Speechless about the entire overall experience (in a good way*) Whenever I am in a new city, I tend to search out quality breakfast joints - Montreal, from my experience was always a challenge until I took a chance! This was a diamond in the rough, if you blink - you can miss it! The experience did not disappoint. Everything was so worth it! The food, service & atmosphere!! Highly recommend for a great breakfast!
Amazing breakfast. French toast is out of this world. The extras are huge! Never seen such a generous bacon portion in a restaurant.
Best breakfast ever! A must if you come to Montreal, food very delicious & good service
This place is a busy well oiled machine. You may wait a bit to be seated but it's worth it if you enjoy a big ol' breakfast. They have a lot of selection & they do it well. Their eggs Benedict are a big attraction as well as the smoothies. Service is fast & friendly. You can also get booze in your coffee or fruity drinks.
This place is always delicious. I have been here more then 10 times & it always hits the spot for great breakfast. Highly recommend.
Good breakfast spot with a large menu with many choices. You better have a lot of time on your hands though. Having been a few times on a Sunday morning for breakfast, it's always the same routine. At around 7:30 am on a Sunday morning about 10 tables are taken. Only one person to serve everyone . From the time you get in at least 10 min. to get the menu. Another 10 min for the server to come get your order & another 20 min. to get the food served. Once you are done the next issue is to get someones attention to bring you the bill. Have your credit card ready or bill will be left with you & another 10 minutes will pass until server comes to collect.
I like the options they have, it's not your typical big brand breakfast places. It's very local, not too crowded & for someone who doesn't eat pork, this place has alternatives! Really glad I found this place.
We had a party of 8 people on a crowded Sunday & the staff made tremendous efforts to accommodate us. The food was excellent as always (I had an omelet). Orange Cafe will always be our'go to' place for a great breakfast.
Tried to order through skip the dishes & the restaurant cancelled my order. Decided to call in for pick up to ask for a breakfast club which includes eggs but when we received it no eggs. Just lot of bread with bacon lettuce tomato & sausage. Also potatoes were extremely salty & over cooked. Pretty disappointing for the price of it
Eddie, the owner, made our entire Montreal experience so much better. Something I didn’t expect from a breakfast place. Went with 5 of my friends & we will be coming back tomorrow since we all fell in love with the atmosphere & food. I 100% will recommend to all my friends travelling around MTL. Food is so delicious. Must Go, that’s all i have to say
Gone downhill sadly
They have tried to update the breakfast. Never mess with a classic. The eggs are less tasty roasted & beans not a success
Thx bathrooms are less clean..
Miss the old place
Huge menu with lots of interesting & delicious breakfast options. Always busy on weekends but with tons of seating the wait isn't usually long. Efficient & friendly staff
