I think I just found my new favorite snack place for a quick bite. The city needs more places like this onigiri restaurant!
Cool little shop that's sharing the space with SushiSama. The shop has a nice vibe that fits well with the neighborhood. The service is quick & simple. You order, get a buzzer & chill until it's ready. The size of the onigiri is quite big! & they are flavor bomb! They have a nice selection of onigiri to satisfy all your cravings. The rice is warm & fluffy & the ingredients are fresh. This is a nice addition to the scene that's packed with sushi shops & poke shops.
Their onigiris are very delicious & they have so many different options!
Délicieux, attente d'environ 20-30min, longue file, mais en vaut la peine! Je recommande: Fuji moutain, Braized pork Taiwanese, fresh salmon (raw)
Lengthy review alert First, I started going to Onigiri shop pretty early on, I would say from January 14 as I saw it opened & was interested in trying it. I first went with friends & we each ordered a bunch of different onigiris to try as many flavors. We were blown away by how good it is (yes it is just rice & filling & seaweed technically) & had to get extra to share with other friends. But simple things are even harder to be delicious! The place is a little small, it cannot accommodate that many people, maybe 15-18 people to sit inside. They do share the space with the sushi store. I have since been almost weekly as it was always delicious & fresh. I guess this is a sign to just say that I have went there pretty often. Amongst all the times I have went I do need to precise that I have never gotten food poisoning, & neither have my friends & family. Contrary to that, they were also smitten by the onigiris. During the period where they weren't as busy, the owner had offered us tonjiru soup, as I kept asking every week but never had it, ultimately he did decide to remove it. (It was delicious) He was always super nice & welcoming, offering hot water (Very nice in cold weather) I will be adding pictures of all the onigiris I had eaten, some are discontinued. I have basically eaten all the old menu except the one with fried chicken (includes Kpop) Every onigiri is big & they do not skimp on the filling. I tend to go for at least 1 classic & 1 "fancy" one. 2 is enough for me & 3 honestly is overkill but I do enjoy having multiple flavors. I have experienced both pre & ante virality & I can say for sure the quality remained the same. I did go less after it went viral as it is always packed, but they have a system & they hired more workers! I truly believe they deserve the hype & I am very happy that their business is going so well. All in all, very delicious. Would always go. I recommend the Salmon Luxe & eel! (But honestly everything is good)
The atmosphere is good; it's not really a dinning experience as in there is space to sit but very cramped However, the onigiris really make up for it they are good & the price is perfect for a student like me. The menu is really well made sure to find something that tickles your fancy. Service is a bit rough but it is to be expected for such a small space. The people are always nice & professional.
Price is ok but overall a little underwhelming in flavour. Not exactly like Japanese onigiri but a more westernized version with interesting varieties. Needs more salt & seaweed must be crispier.
Incredible onigiri, with snappy nori, perfectly cooked rice & amazing fillings! It's quite a small place so it's difficult to find seating if it's busy but eating in is a must, since the decor & presentation are very lovely. Many vegetarian, fish & meat-based options.
It's actually quite good. I was skeptical at first because of some reviews saying they got food poisoning, glad to know the staff corrected the hygiene. Prices are fair (between 3.99 & 5.75) & they really stuff it to the max : onigiris are big & filling. I bought 3 : korean chicken & tama, the salmon avocado & the beef. Definitely get the salmon & avocado & try a 2nd one. A perfect place for takeout lunch since the shop is quite small.
Excellent, aussi bons que ceux que nous avons gouté au japon! Ca vaut le coup l attente
Large Onigiris with great variety, very filling too :) Definitely try the chef's special those are the best! Great choice of songs for in-door dining btw 😄 Miso soup was also delicious
One word, delicious... It was worth waiting in line for 5-10 minutes. Inside, there are a few seats available but it's very small. We ordered a bit of everything to try including the unagi, soy egg yolk, spicy raw tuna, Korean fried chicken & the salmon luxe. To be honest, the simpler the tastier! So the spicy tuna & soy egg yolk were my favorite. The salmon luxe had both tuna & salmon in it, but I couldn't taste the difference, so what's the point of getting it. Also, very good quality price. You get a huge onigiri for about 4$ if you go with the classics but it can go to 8$.
A good choice for an easy & fun lunch. The onigiri are very fresh & tasty. You can easily eat for under 10$ if you want to or try the chef's specials for a bit of a treat. Definitely worth trying out a couple. It's a cute spot to sit & eat.
The Ultimate Carb Bomb! 📌S1: Salmon Luxe Spicy fresh salmon, cooked salmon, ikura, & furikake 📌C3: Pork-Tama Braised pork, egg yolk, & green onion. Satisfaction!
