For a delicious Portuguese chicken, Monteiro is not to be missed! Offering you several sizes of chicken, covered with traditional spices, slowly baked to perfection, Monteiro is sure to please!
Overall Monteiro earns broad praise for flavorful Portuguese inspired bowls and well seasoned chicken, with fresh ingredients and balanced sauces that make the dishes feel satisfying and addictive. The piri piri bowl and tender chicken are standout items, while portions are generous and prices are highly affordable, often accompanied by occasional discounts or promotions. Service is repeatedly described as warm, welcoming, and efficient, with attentive staff and a friendly vibe that makes it easy to enjoy a casual meal with family or friends. The ambience is noted as convivial and comfortable, suitable for regular visits and quick dinners alike. Some critiques include a poutine that can be overloaded with fries relative to chicken and cheese, and occasional comments about delivery timing and restroom facilities needing attention. Overall, Monteiro is viewed as a top neighborhood option for good value and consistently tasty food, with many diners planning regular return visits.
$10 for chicken leg with thigh, fries, rice & salade, you cannot beat that. Service was very professional, fast, cordial & the food was finger-lickin-good. Highly recommended 👍👍
I ordered through DoorDash & although the food is tasty & seems fresh , the portions are extremely small for the price. Definitely one time order in my case.
Food is always great however there's a difference in quantity as they give less here compared to the one located in downtown. Also not very welcoming as I stood not getting any attention till I asked if I could order.
Excellent restaurant. Fresh & tasty food. Very good service & very affordable price. Un délice! Recommend strongly & for sure, you will be back there very often.
The chicken was really good, it tasted clean & was tender. However, the rice was very undercooked. I really liked the fries though! I don't recommend the Natas they were served cold & the pastry didn't feel fresh.
