Mon Petit Poulet earns praise for distinct, tasty chicken and generous portions, with fried chicken described as among the best in town and a variety of sauces to suit different tastes; service is consistently noted as friendly and attentive, and the overall experience is described as welcoming, whether dining in or ordering for delivery; a few reviews mention items like poutine, fries, and grilled chicken, while a couple of visits were disappointing due to bland or dry chicken, inconsistent quality, and a long wait for takeout; overall the restaurant is seen as offering good value and a positive, family friendly dining vibe.
Mon expérience récente fut fort décevante le poulet frit était littéralement trop cuit & brûlé. Dommage car l’endroit était super auparavant.
Went to buy food for me & my son. The cashier ask me of i can pay cash. I said i don't have enough money. It was on a Tuesday so i ask to give me the 3$ special for the kids meal, he told me no. Even though it's so on their website & just behind him. I didn't go futher because i wanted to have my food without any problems. So warning to you, order online because the new administration give that shady vibe. But the food was good.
I will admit MPP went through a rough patch a while back where perhaps the kitchen was having troubles, but im so pleased to find it now just as it was when the resto first opened in the neighbourhood. 10/10 food & beautiful attentive service from the new (?) owner. Thank you! Keep up the great work
WOW. This is the best discovery I have made all year. I took the platter for 4 people which had enough food for an extra person. But beyond the good portions, the roasted chicken is just next level... juicy, perfectly crisp, & full of flavors.
The fried chicken is probably the best I have eaten in Montreal by a mile. Again, it is juicy inside, perfectly crisp on the outside & seasoned like nowhere else. I actually rad about this place on EATER montreal; as it was voted best friend chicken.
Last but not least their brown sauce is perfectly homemade... & yo can tell the ribs have been marinated (with love) & cooking to for a while.
No need for long text. Simply the best chicken & Ribs comfort food in Montreal. I live all the way to the west of town but I travel to get this. You can try everything on the menu. Fried chicken 5 *, Roast Chicken 5 *, Ribs 5 *, I don't like salad but this one 5 *, Staff 5 *. Even the water would be rated 5* . Thank you for putting a smile in my face for each bites.
