With 28 imported beers on tap and excellent cuisine served from noon till 3am we have also become the place to quench both thirst and hunger. As soon as you walk into the Pub the very authentic decor as well as the very warm and cozy atmosphere will overcome you. You will suddenly be transported to Ireland in the blink of an eye.

We went there because one tge website they mentionned a band. But instead we had the Blue Jay's game blasting into the speakers. Not a very pleasant supper.

A lovely Irish experience, the food & drinks were delicious & you have some tasty choices. The service is meduim, but great friendly warm ambiance. Crazy music & bands in weekends.
We're very sad to say that we went there for the fish-&-chips & found it very, very greasy & not very good
I had the chicken crisp burger which was good
The place needs a new refresh & definitely needs a clean up very disappointed.Is not a return visit

McNiven's was a great first stop for me & my family after arriving to Newfoundland. The food was incredible & the fish was fresh. We were very pleased with the service by our waiter, Noah & the owner David. They were both very personable, efficient, & attentive. On behalf of myself & my family we are so happy we picked McNiven's as our first stop in NL!
We arrived & found the place was 18+. Which was actually fine because it was a really nice evening to sit on the patio. The service was friendly. I got the club sandwich, which wasn't particularly good. The chicken was very dry & overcooked, & part of it tasted somewhat off. I'm pretty sure the bacon was the microwave kind like ready crisp or whatever it's called. As well, the sandwich was made on wonder bread. I suspect sandwiches in Ireland are made with much better ingredients.
Very nice pub. The food is immaculate & delicious. The drinks are also very good. The ambiance was so nice too. There was live music & this first visit absolutely blew me off. Charming!
