The bartender was pleasant, & was very helpful guiding me which drink I should have. We sat at a table & ordered food. I ordered the spicy fried chicken & I asked to please place a tomato. I only found out once I received my bill they charged me $1.00.
When I asked the waiter he replied well when we buy groceries we need to charge people how do you think it works. I did not appreciate that! He never advised me it was an extra charge. I have never been charged for asking for a lettuce or tomato especially when it's a chicken sandwich. He was rude & I only asked a question.

I went to McKibbin's Irish Pub in the West Island with some friends, & we had a great time. They have a solid beer selection-I tried the apricot beer, & it was really good, nice & refreshing. For food, I had the honey-cut fries, which were delicious, & everyone in my group enjoyed their meals as well.
There was a solo artist playing live music, & he was really talented. It added to the Irish pub atmosphere, but depending on where you're sitting, it can get pretty loud. some tables are right up to the stage, so if you're trying to have a conversation with friends, it might get a bid loud. Not a bad thing but something to be aware of. Overall, though, it's a great spot with good drinks, tasty food, & a fun vibe. I'd definitely go back!View more

I rarely write negative reviews, but I was quite disappointed here. The food & service were certainly OK, but the quality of the food has gone way downhill (I've been coming here for literally decades but hadn't been back in almost 10 years). Furthermore, the prices are now extremely high. $200 for 2 ppl with 2 appetizers, one meal & a few drinks. Not worth it anymore in my opinion.View more

Tried the Pub after many years & it's was good. My wife ordered the soup "Very Hot" & she says it was really good. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie & it was a little too wet but still OK. Came with nice salad so overall the meal was very good & great value for the price. Drinks were also lower price for 4 a 7. Overall a flood experience & seemed like a lot of regulars there enjoying them selves. A little run down & old looking as only complaint. Waitress was very good too.View more
Saw an employee reach out to a woman sitting alone on Christmas Eve. He stood & chatted & more importantly took the time to just listen. A drink was offered to her. It warmed my heart & brought tears to my eyes. Great job Steve.View more

No matter when I have gone, the service was excellent & the food was great, with only one exception & that was at least ten years ago. My absolute favourite is the fish & chips & although I don't enjoy anything too spicy, their curry sauce - go dip those chips! - is amazing. I also like the cider, which is a nice change from all the other drinks. I go as often as I can, just to relax & enjoy the pubs offerings.
It's a great place to go hang out with friends & grab a drink. The food, however, is really poor quality & & the service in awful. Whenever we order food it takes a long time to get to us & it is rarely still hot. The bouncers are also very rude & I've seen a number of instances where they were out of line & inappropriate with people trying to get in or waiting in line to order. I would not recommend this bar to anyone.
