Review Summary

Max Poutine receives praise for offering a huge variety of poutines and very large portions, with the cheese curds described as chunky in several reviews, though some say the fries are not always house-made and the sauce can vary in flavor from dish to dish. The menu is repeatedly highlighted as a major draw, including traditional and creative options, with some calling it the best poutine in town; others point to high prices and inconsistent portion sizes. Service is noted as friendly and efficient at times, but multiple reviews report slow delivery, long waits, or missteps with takeout, leading to frustration. The ambiance is casual, sometimes noisy, and the basement-like setting is mentioned, yet the energy and breadth of choices keep many returning. Overall, Max Poutine is seen as a go-to spot for poutine lovers who want variety and big portions, balanced by concerns about price and service reliability.
