Masala Art stands out as a warm, flavorful Indian dining spot with something for everyone, from crispy momos and chaat to rich butter chicken, biryani, and tandoori dishes, all described as fresh, boldly spiced, and served hot. Guests repeatedly celebrate generous portions, good value, and a welcoming, attentive atmosphere, with many saying the food tastes like home and travels well with leftovers. The restaurant's versatility is highlighted by quick service on some visits, great takeout, and even event catering, alongside notes that some staff moments could be smoother. Overall, Masala Art emerges as a go to option for authentic Indian flavors on the West Island, appealing to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian diners and visitors from Montreal and beyond.
I really enjoyed Massage Art. I went there for the first time with my wife & my mother-in-law, & the experience was genuinely pleasant from start to finish.
I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo & asked for it extremely spicy🌶, meaning the hottest level they could do. They took that request seriously, & it was exactly to my taste: intensely spicy, full of bold flavors, & still well-balanced rather than just'hot for the sake of heat.' If you are someone who likes real spice, this is a great place to try it.
Overall, after that first day I started coming regularly, & it has become one of my go-to spots when I want good Indian food & real heat. Highly recommended, especially if you like strong flavors & very spicy dishes.

I go to this place once in a while. Normally, their food is good but on my last visit on Sunday 15th evening, both paneer & chicken dishes were very salty & very spicy especially when I told the person taking the order that I need mild dish because I am not allowed spicy food. Also the chicken dish tasted stale for reasons best known to them. I repeat that this was the first time the food wasn't satisfactory. Maybe they had a new cook in the kitchen
Very delicious Indian food & in my opinion, best enjoyed at the restaurant where it's served hot & fresh. All the dishes we ordered were so flavourful. I usually find biryanis a bit dry but their Chicken Biryani is the best I've had. We also really enjoyed the Butter Chicken, the Baingan Bharta (eggplant) & the Andhra Style Prawns Masala. We brought leftovers home & it was still delicious the next day.
Having worked with Chef Anil in the past, including during his time at Karma, I was excited to see him open his own place-& it absolutely delivers.
He brings the same refined, authentic, high-end approach he was known for, but in a setting that's far more accessible without sacrificing quality. The flavors are bold, layered, & genuinely transportive-some dishes keep taking you straight back to Mumbai.
This is top-notch Indian cuisine done right: thoughtful, balanced, & deeply authentic. A must-try for anyone who truly loves Indian food.
This is my favorite Indian cuisine spot in the West Island & all over Montreal. What I love about it is the consistency of the great food they serve & the friendliness of the staff. Last night we were a group of 12 & everyone loved the food, the service, & the affordability of all the authentic dishes we ordered.
We went here for dinner after a couple years for our mom's birthday. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was so good & all came out on time. We enjoyed a variety of dishes from samosa chaat, onion bhaji, fish pakora, chicken tikka, kabobs, chicken curry & a variety of veggie dishes. Their tandoori skills are fantastic! I highly recommend trying those dishes. I know everyone goes for the creamy ones like butter chicken, but the chicken curry is fantastic! The best part is that you know they are using good ingredients in a clean kitchen because all 7 of our group felt great after the meal. The only improvement that I think would elevate it to the next level is to invest in a proper serving staff. While there were really nice, it would take this restaurant to the next level. Well done! Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Montreal.

My first visit to montreal from florida find an indian restaurant it didn't disappoint me with food flavors I had there either tandoori or main dishes above all server had nice knowledge of food & spices which is very good part for restaurant thanks gurpreet for making our day will visit again..
I recently visited Masala Art & was really impressed! The highlight of my meal was definitely the fried momos - perfectly crispy on the outside & packed with flavorful filling on the inside. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, & the accompanying dipping sauce had just the right amount of kick. Highly recommend them if you're a momo lover!
The overall ambiance was amazing, the service was attentive, & the menu has a great variety of dishes. I'll definitely be back to try more.
Ordered takeout, & when I asked whether a dish was dairy-free, they then were so conscientious about making sure I knew which dishes in my order were/were not dairy-free. Everything was so delicious, too!

Absolutely exquisite!
Masala Art delivers an outstanding Indian dining experience. The butter chicken is rich & flavorful, the garlic naan is simply divine, & the quality of the chicken is top-notch. We asked for our dishes to be mild, & they respected that perfectly - the flavors were still incredible. The staff is kind & attentive, & our whole family loved every bite. Highly recommended!
Food is very tasty here. Lamb curry, paneer tikka, Dahl makhani & Saag are my favourite dishes. Weekend brunch: puri alloo & cholay bhaturey are also delicious.
Delicious Indian Flavors & the Best Kulfi! I recently dined at Masala Art DOLLARD-DES-ORMEAUX, & it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm & welcoming, with a vibrant yet cozy feel. The menu offers a wide range of authentic Indian dishes, each more flavorful than the next. We ordered cholle bhature, chaat platter, idli sambar & dosa . They all tatsed simply awesome. But the highlight of the meal was definitely the dessert-kulfi! Their kulfi is simply divine! Creamy, rich, & bursting with kesar pista flavor, it was the perfect way to end the meal. Whether you're a fan of traditional flavors like pistachio or mango, or looking to try something new, the kulfi here is a must-try. Overall, Masala Art delivers an authentic & satisfying Indian dining experience. Highly recommended, especially for indian food lover.
The food is tasty & of high quality. The service is excellent with quiet & polite waiters. Anil's wife Seema's welcoming smile, warm greetings, & friendliness brings me & my husband back to this restaurant often! Our favourite dishes are the lamb vindaloo, chettinad chicken, naans, & the mango lassi.

The food is fantastic at this resto. Our neighbors love it here & we had to try. I love the fusion of some of the dishes & you can tell how much love for food is placed in each dish. We started with the Onion bhaji & Veg momos & then the Chicken Tikka Masala with rice, naan & roti. It was all VERY good! The staff are friendly & courteous as well. We even met the chef & owner of the resto on the way out & seemed so happy & appreciative that we enjoyed his creations so much. Can't wait to come back to try his other dishes!
We tried the brunch special at Masala art & the food was absolutely amazing. The chana bhatura was the best I had & it was so soft. it came with great side dishes too. THE masala dosa & chicken dosa were delicious & crispy . The samber on the side was so savory as well. We will definitely cone back for more !
While in town on business (with my wife) - we came across this little hidden gem of a restaurant. The name "Masala Art" is no mistake, they make authentic Indian cuisine an'art'!!! unsure of what the various dishes were, we asked the wait staff to make suggestions. We couldn't be more pleased! The tastes, & textures of this food was beyond anything we have ever had at ANY of the much larger chains in the Toronto area!! We purposefully chose more food than we could eat in one sitting - to be sure we could try extra dishes, & to make sure we had leftovers for the next day! It was an absolute delight, & the staff were Great! Thank you for an absolutely fantastic gastric experience! We will undoubtedly be eating here again - next time we come to Mtl!!
Went for the first time with my family last night & I was pleasantly surprised. Great restaurant with amazing Indian flavourful dishes. We got Delhi Chaat platter, lamb briyani, chicken tawa, lamb chops & fish curry. Their garlic naan is to die for! Warm & cozy atmosphere. The owner was very welcoming & friendly. I highly recommend to try this restaurant.
This is an awesome Indian restaurant near the West Island area. We've tried both veggie & meat dishes, & they're all delicious. The place looks nice, & the staff is friendly. They do party orders too, but you have to pick them up. It might be a bit pricier than other spots, but it's totally worth it. Only thing is, they should give more napkins without us having to ask.
