Yesterday was another amazing catering experience from best original Syrian restaurant Lylac. The setting, the delicious food & the generous portions were greatly appreciated by all guests. I had Lylac Catering for my engagement party, & it was amazing! The food was delicious, fresh, & more than sufficient for all our guests. Jean was present & made sure everything went smoothly. I highly recommend Lylac for any catering needs!

I am giving it 2 stars because this used to be one of my favorite restaurants for the past 10 years. I frequently visited & often brought friends, even those from outside Montreal. While I understand that prices have increased, as they have at many restaurants, my issue is with the discrepancy between the menu prices & the final bill. For example, my plate was listed as $28 on the menu, but I was charged $35, & with tax & tips, it came to $47. The same thing happened with my friend, who was visiting for the first & last time. Sadly, this will be my last visit to Laylac, & I now understand why it was nearly empty. I had no additional items to my plate such as salad or fries like stated by the manager bellow , neither did my friend & both of our plates were priced differently on the menu & on the receipt
At the door before getting a table, they mentioned to have Shisha available. But once we got the table & ordered the food, they said there must be some confusion & that they have stopped offering Shisha. Ruined our entire evening. The food is also very expensive... cost me $57 for one drink & one Shawarma plate.
On this Thursday July 11th we had a beautiful gathering about 33 people as a family reunion & we enjoyed every moment everything was so beautiful great service thank you so much! & Our server Nada was really good & pleasant !!! Tnx Nada 🌹
Lylac is one of the best restaurants. The portions are very big, they are really generous with food, as well as the desserts. The quality of the food is top. & the prices are really really good , not expensive at all for the classic restaurant like this . Highly recommend
