Everything about it makes it a 10/10 experience. It is bright & beautiful & well kept which is the perfect ambiance for brunch. It is family owned & it is run by the loveliest of women. Everything is made in house & fresh everyday. Absolute deliciousness. My mother & I go there often now! It is one of our go to's. Definitely recommend!
Best Lebanese brunch in Montreal & the service is awesome.
Well recommended
Great food, drinks, & service! I highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch. We had the foul bi laban & the fatté hummus à la viande, both of which were absolutely delicious & full of flavor. The cappuccino was perfectly made, & the red tea was just as enjoyable. Even the little details stood out like the flower on top smelled amazing & paired so beautifully with the cappuccino, making the whole experience feel extra special. I am definitely coming back & recommending this place to friends.
Fantastic food & service
Their brunch was so so delicious
Will definitely be coming back
This was my first Syrian brunch, & it happened on one of those quiet girls' days that stay with you. Just me, my aunt, & my cousin, nowhere to rush off to, choosing a table & choosing each other.
We went to Leymoun, tucked along Rue Dudemaine. Walking in felt less like entering a restaurant & more like being welcomed into someone's home. No waiting, no hovering, no pressure to order fast. Just space to settle in, sip slowly, & talk as long as we wanted.
Brunch started the way it should. With tea.
A big pot of black tea, steeped in-house & ready by the time brunch rolls around. Bold, fragrant, grounding. The kind of tea that invites you to pour another cup without thinking.
What we shared felt designed for lingering.
Petit Déjeuner Platter
A generous spread of Syrian breakfast staples meant to be passed around. Creamy dips, salty cheeses, crunchy vegetables, warm falafel, juicy green olives, & a homemade fig jam that honestly tasted like sunshine. Pomegranate seeds scattered across the plate added little bursts of brightness that kept pulling me back in.
Fatté Hummus au Shawarma
This was the favorite at the table. Creamy hummus layered with yogurt & tahini, topped with tender chicken shawarma, grilled almonds, & crispy pita chips. Rich, tangy, crunchy, spiced. Every bite felt complete.
Shakshuka
Comfort in its simplest form. Soft feta-topped eggs, sautéed onions, tomatoes, & peppers. Nothing fussy. Just satisfying & warm.
Fried Halloumi with Leymoun Sauce
The surprise star. Salty, golden halloumi paired with their signature za'atar, honey, & sesame sauce. Sweet, salty, herby, a little sticky, & very addictive.
Everything tasted thoughtful. Like it was made with the intention of being shared. Plates kept moving, conversations kept unfolding, & time quietly stretched.
This is the kind of brunch that doesn't rush you out the door. It turns into an afternoon without asking.
Foxy Tip: Come with people you love, order for the table, & don't watch the clock. Leymoun is about slowing down & savoring more than just the food. The stories matter too.
I share local gems & cultural eats over on ig @foxyappetite & TikTok @foxy.appetite, & this one truly earned its place.
This meal was comped as part of a media preview. Sharing my honest thoughts above.
I haven't seen any disorganized & mismanaged place as this restaurant in Montreal or Laval so far. The place is left to be ran by three employees on the busiest day of the season (Eid & Mother's Day). Three people to usher, serve, wait, clean etc.
We called to ask if we can be seated right away if we arrived in the coming 15 minutes, & we were assured we will be. Only to be surprised upon our arrival that we were lied to.
We waited 30 minutes at the corner of the restaurant with our grandma who is 80 years old standing on her feet while we watched other people being seated (people who arrived after us).
When we confronted one of the employees instead of showing empathy & finding a solution we were met with an attitude.
The logical solution that one of the employees found was to ask one of the tables that were still actively eating to wrap up & leave.
They ruined our Mother's Day brunch with our family. All of this could have been avoided if the employee was honest from the moment we spoke over the phone & set realistic expectations.
They are dishonest & unorganized & this is going to be problematic for their business.
We went there at Brunch hour on a sunday for the first time...the brunch platter was super nice, tasty colorful & plenty of food. Service was precise. We will make an habit !
We went there on the weekend. It was a little crowded.. But the brunch was perfect. I can say it's the best Lebanese brunch I've ever had in Montreal. Also, the service was good & fast. I highly recommend this place for brunch.
I went a couple weeks ago for brunch. It was phenomenal, service was also extremely welcoming & friendly.
Wow wow wow! Out of this world. I thought I was at Teta's house. We enjoyed our brunch so much, it was absolutely worth the trip outside the downtown core. The Plateau Platter has everything you need, & the fatte was delicious & filling.
Really nice brunch spot, staff was super friendly & welcoming. I personally wasn't crazy about the foul dish, but really loved the fattet & the breakfast platter. I would definitely come back
We went there for a family brunch with cousins who have recently immigrated from Lebanon & they also found the food delicious & the atmosphere lovely. It was super clean & the service was quick & friendly.
Great service & amazing food.
I absolutely recommend this restaurant if your looking to discover real authentic mediterranean food or if your looking for a cool place to eat brunch with some friends.
What a lovely brunch at Leymoun; all the dishes we ordered were fresh, delicious, & served in very large amounts. Together with the tea, beautiful music in the background, & the lovely team sharing the story of the food, we had such a great time, & are looking forward to returning soon.
Merci !
Had a nice Syrian breakfast at Leymoun! We tried most of their options such as foul, fatté, eggs & fried halloumi. Everything was delicious. Unlike other Syrian brunch that usually only serve tea, they also served coffee & lemonade. Their lemonade is really good & refreshing! The service was amazing, very nice owner. The restaurant was a bit hot though, they should add an A/C or more fans.
