Review Summary

Les Marchés TAU is frequently recognized as a go-to destination for high-quality organic groceries, wholesome prepared foods, and a diverse selection of natural products. Many shoppers appreciate the competitive pricing on produce and the store's clean, inviting atmosphere, often highlighting the helpfulness of specific staff members and the appeal of the dining area. However, experiences remain inconsistent as some patrons have reported issues with produce freshness, occasional instances of unprofessional or rude service, and management interactions that have felt unwelcoming. While the store is valued for its health-oriented offerings and overall convenience, varying levels of staff attentiveness and the need for better quality control in the produce section are common themes among regular visitors.

Compliqué se faire servir en français. Au Québec, le service en français c'est un droit, pas une option. Mais bon, c'est pas surprenant venant du waste island!!

This location is bad. You need to call & ask if they have the items they claim to have on their website otherwise, you'll go there for nothing since they never have all the products.
The dairy section is lacking. Where are all the natural dairies?? All stuff that contain chemicals & weird ingredients.
Save your money & avoid getting frustrated & shop elsewhere.

It's one of the best places, & the chef in the kitchen is one of the best people.

Great health oriented smoothies. Grocery prices are sometimes competitive but should compare as sometimes overpriced compared to other comparable grocery stores

This store should get its act together with their staff. It is a privilege to have a job, but one would not know it with some of the workers at this store.
I was there this past Thursday at around 915 am, hardly a busy time, & the sole cashier was tremendously rude to the customers. No hello, no thank you, a mean stare down while you packed your groceries. Seriously?
There are lots of other options to shop in Montreal's West Island. Shame on the management here that allows such rudeness.

REVISED:
My recent experience at the prepared food counter was disappointing. Despite four staff being present, I waited about two minutes without being served. During that time, staff were engaged in personal conversations rather than assisting customers. The dishwasher even tried to signal the team, but no one came forward until I had to call out twice. When service finally came, I was told I was being rude. The server then left & asked the cook to serve us. Without knowing anything about my exchange with the server, the cook also called me rude, which only made the situation worse.

This incident revealed a flaw in the department's teamwork & attentiveness. If one staff member cannot hear, or another cannot communicate in English or French, then colleagues need to step in to ensure customers aren't left waiting.

I respect the staff & the challenges of service work, but I encourage better coordination & focus to avoid situations like this. Because of this, I'm adjusting my review from 5 stars to 4.

ORIGINAL:
My go-to items are the homemade soups - fresh, wholesome, & comforting.
Prices are fair for the quality, & Fridays are the best time to shop since that's when new stock arrives.
Overall, a great spot if you're looking for organic, wholesome options.
