Earlier this week, our neighbors had the brilliant idea of ??inviting us to P'tit Bélanger, a charming new little restaurant on… Bélanger Street! & we had a wonderful time!
We especially loved the beef carpaccio, the gravlax, the strawberry & goat cheese salad, the mac & cheese, & the linguine with clams. The crispy polenta, while very good, wasn't quite up to the standard of the other dishes. The charcuterie & cheese board lacked a bit of flair in its selection.
We enjoyed the air conditioning while eating inside. The music, although very good, was a little too loud.
Nevertheless, we'll be back again & again!
C'est ma deuxième fois au Petit Bélanger. Les plats sont délicieux, raffinés, goûteux. Y a de l'amour dans cette cuisine! La chef est vraiment à son affaire, elle y met du coeur & ça se voit/se goûte/se sent dans ses plats. Le gravlax de saumon, la salade César, les plats de pâtes, coup de coeur pour les agnollettis farcis de betteraves & de fromage de chèvre, recouverts d'un carpaccio de betteraves, wow, impeccable! Les pâtes à la vongole, le mac & cheese. Tout est excellent ! Bravo à la chef & à son équipe passionnée ❤?
From the moment we walked in, the vibes were warm & welcoming-all the staff were super attentive & friendly, making us feel right at home. The ambiance is super gorgeous: bright & chique, with a buzz that feels lively yet relaxed. Hands down, this is our new favorite restaurant in the city. We've had some incredible meals elsewhere, but this one ranks among the very best. Everything was absolutely flawless-flavorful, fresh, & stunningly presented.
We started with the polenta: a dreamy contrast of crisp exterior & soft, delicate interior, nestled in the most gorgeous tomato sauce. Next came the scallop crudo in green aguachile with rhubarb, cucumber, & avocado-every bite was a journey. The mac & cheese was elegant & perfectly balanced: rich, cheesy, but never overwhelming.
& then, the beet agnolotti. Absolutely next-level. So sweet & buttery it almost felt like dessert-an unapologetic, delicious elevation of beets encased in the most beautiful pasta. The crispy quinoa on top added a brilliant crunch.
We also enjoyed two lovely cocktails, followed by a rhubarb tart with meringue & cappuccinos to close out a perfect evening. This is a meal we'll remember for a long time-& we're already looking forward to coming back.
