Le Poutine Bar is praised for generous portions, a rich flavorful sauce, and cheese that melts into hot, crispy fries, making it a standout poutine spot in Laval. The menu offers variety including a smash burger and bold toppings, and the service is repeatedly described as friendly and efficient, even for groups. Reviewers call it a hidden gem and among the best poutines in Quebec, noting fresh ingredients, attentive cooking, and a welcoming vibe that makes it ideal for date nights or casual meals after games. Overall, the restaurant is celebrated for reliable quality, satisfying portions, and a warm, approachable atmosphere.
A big group of us went in for lunch between hockey games for our kids. It's a small place but they managed to accommodate all of us. They were fast & friendly. They food was great & abundant! I would go there again.
We ordered take out & pretty late. 9:45 to be more specific. So take that in mind with this review. We ordered the sharing combo, frite sauce & a poutine.
I know it is a bit late but they close at 11 so figured I won't get the late crap before their closing. The chicken strips look like they have been reheated twice. But the worst was the fries. You can tell the fries have been out a while & just reheated. But reheated to the point where they were burnt. Common practice for a lot of places but when fries are your bread & butter.... Really? My poutine was over powered by the burnt taste of the fries. Same as the frite sauce. & even the fries that came with the combo were so nasty. I understand the glaring reviews when thing are fresh. The fleeting taste of the sauce was amazing before the burnt fries over powered everything. & with my stomach churning over that reheated food... Damn that wasn't worth it. & really, when you think about it. Reheating old nasty French fries to save that dollar? Definitely not ordering here again.

I remember in 2010 when it used to be La poutinerie. The staff was so friendly & still are even though the administration changed, you still have amazing food. They used to serve Pizza & other things. But, I understand keeping a tight menu will grant you more success & focus on the things you do best. Maybe a little bit more décor would give it some warmth. But overall, if you are here for the poutine you'll be in heaven.
We got to meet Patrick the chef tonight! He is one of the most friendly people we have met in a while. The service was amazing & the food is even more spectacular. It really hits the spot after a long day at work.
They have great poutine topping! Unfortunatly, now they put less topping & more fries - & a bit pricey for what you get. Staff was good. They did mix up our poutine sauce though. Didn't like the burger. But then again, its a poutine bar.
This place is a hidden gem for poutine in Montreal. The cheese curds have the legit squeak. The fries & gravy are absolutely delicious. Service was fast & priced right. We will be back.
Good place for poutine, hamburgers, etc. Fries were very tasty & food was overall delicious. Reasonably priced & good decor for what it is. Definitely would go there again.
We went a little out of the way in west Laval. It was difficult to chose which one we wanted to try out of the impressively long list of themed & creative poutines packed with a huge variety of ingredients. Classic poutine base, the right fries, a quintessential sauce & everything is built from there. As it should be. Most of them were very interesting but we unfortunately couldn't have more than two as we decided to also try their smash burger. A smash burger in every sense - even the bread is flattened. Unexpectedly delicious, juicy & crispy patty topped with a familiar sauce & just the right size to compliment our giant poutine. As we discovered, this restaurant is quite large & we would've have loved to access the bar area but, unfortunately, on karaoke night you're only allowed there if you're singing & no one wants to hear us sing 😅 We feel it is worthy of its name in both quality & quantity of the meal. It was worth the tiny road trip
Tried le poutine bar in laval for dinner The interior is cool, very colorful We tried many items & everything was delicious. The poutine is out of this world. They use high quality ingredients. Very Friendly staff ! Fair prices! Follow @ayahayek_ for more on instagram
Went there for the karaoke night which was super fun! Everyone is so nice & supportive & you don’t need to have pipes like Whitney Houston to enjoy it! The food is good too I hit a regular sized poutine which was more than enough for me & they use those good ol la belle fries & a dark rich gravy so you can’t go wrong. They have so many options so there’s something to suit anyone’s taste. The toppings are plentiful as well. I’d you’re looking for a good poutine in that area this is the place to go. The service was very fast as well but it also wasn’t so busy too. The prices for the food is good for the portion size & they’ve got a lot of drink options as well.

The poutine sauce is very good. However, it is the last time I order here. I was supposed to receive a credit because the previous order was wrong. & the next order the employee told us he is not aware & cannot do anything about it & then got the order right but the fries were undercooked. So bleah....no more, thank you....
