Le Pirate de Laval is an upscale Italian & Seafood restaurant that everybody must try. This place is not your usual fine Italian restaurant; its interior makes this restaurant so unique.
The restaurant is located in Pont Viau district of Laval on Des Laurentides Boulevard, and has been there for the past 27 years. The interior is nicely decorated in a ship like setting, you get the feeling of being in a pirate ship. Beautiful antique style paintings and tapestries, wooden walls and floors, and all comes with a friendly service. The menu features a delightful variety of traditional Italian appetizers and starters and a good selection of excellent pasta, meats and seafood dishes.
This restaurant also offers private rooms that could hold from 20 to 80 people which makes this restaurant an excellent choice for a business lunch, for any type of parties, and especially for a beautiful romantic evening. The inside of the restaurant is very nice & the service is good but the food was very average. Filet mignon was tasteless.

What a lovely hole in the wall restaurant! You have no idea what to expect when the door is a porthole in a pretty unassuming little place. But the food was delicious, the service fantastic. We are so thrilled we randomly ended up here! If you're in Montreal & need a break from the urban environment, please consider this for your dinner selection!

Best experience for my marriage, the service was excellent & the food was a lot & great, we paid for the open bar & the drinks were very good, I have no words to describe this place we had a very good night thanks to them.

Nous avons utilisé la grande salle de réception de 50 personnes pour notre célébration & banquet de mariage. Alex père & Alex fils nous ont très bien reçu pour la planification de notre événement. Le service de nos trois serveurs à été impeccable. Tous les plats étaient très bon. Je le recommande à tous pour un souper en amoureux ou une grande fête. Merci.

Best bang for buck authentic italian restaurants you can find. Fried calamari are some of the best in town. We had the grilled mushrooms & tomatoes & cheese appetizers which were delicious. Main courses saw the likes of Full grilled fish which is a rare find in restaurants nowadays. Rib steak was juicy & tender & rivals some of the best overpriced steakhouses around. Lobster & pasta duo plate was fantastic also. Prices are extremely affordable for the quality & quantity you get. Its really unmatched in that regard. Great for a family supper or even a nice date night. Very unique vibe. This is where all my future events will be held ! Great menu options for parties. 5/5 !

We were happily surprised! The outside of the restaurant would need to be updated but the inside is just wow. We felt like we were in a pirate ship. Lots of wood. Our server was great, super service, good advice. I tried finding a place to buy the beer I had tasted & she got the owner to contact the owner of the micro that brewed that beer & came back with the info. My gnocchi were freshly made & the sauce was good. My wife had chicken parmigiana, it was tasty & very tender. the appetizers were very good too. we're definitely going to go back.

Un incontournable à Laval, & ce, depuis 1976 ! Cuisine italienne de bon goût intégrant des plats de homards variés: Démi-Homard & Linguine; Homard complet & l'assiette du pêcheur avec son demi-homard, Scampis, crevettes incluant un merveilleux Newburg avec pétoncles & crevette sur riz. L'atmosphère est feutrée & très agréable avec ses boiseries impeccables de type navire de l'époque (Pirate). Le service fut extrêmement efficace malgré que le restaurant était complet. Un nouveau coup de coeur malgré la localisation dans un quartier qui ne fait pas l'unanimité. Si vous avez passé sur le boulevard des Laurentides dans le quartier Pont-Viau, vous n'avez très certainement pas remarqué ce petit bijou culinaire de vrai souche Italienne. Grazie a tutta la squadra !!

Très déçu de ce resto, nos attentes devaient être trop élevées. Menu repas avec peu de choix à des prix démesuré. Pain & olive marinées servit en attente du repas. Accompagnement médiocre (riz blanc ou 1 patate coupée en deux avec 1 petit morceau de piment). Malgré tout, le service était assez rapide.
