Le Pirate de Laval is an upscale Italian & Seafood restaurant that everybody must try. This place is not your usual fine Italian restaurant; its interior makes this restaurant so unique.
The restaurant is located in Pont Viau district of Laval on Des Laurentides Boulevard, and has been there for the past 27 years. The interior is nicely decorated in a ship like setting, you get the feeling of being in a pirate ship. Beautiful antique style paintings and tapestries, wooden walls and floors, and all comes with a friendly service. The menu features a delightful variety of traditional Italian appetizers and starters and a good selection of excellent pasta, meats and seafood dishes.

This was my first time at this restaurant & i have to say from the outside not impressive but once you get inside i was impressed very clean & nice atmosphere.
The staff was very nice & friendly & gave us good service.
The food was great i had probably one of the best rib steak i ever had from restaurant it was good melted in your mouth.There dessert was also very good.
We were 10 peoples & we all had a great time also we had 3 young children & we made them share one pasta plate & unlike other restaurants they didn't give us hard time about it which is very nice.
There was a few hiccups but nothing major mostly my son got is lasagna way after us we were almost finish & they didn't have some desserts we wanted to have but like i said nothing really negative here.
Nous sommes allés deux fois & avons été conquis deux fois. Le service est excellent, l'ambiance plutôt intime. On a l'impression d'être dans la cale d'un bateau avec un cachet viellot que j'ai beaucoup aimé. Que dire de leurs sauces? C'est sans contredit les meilleures que j'ai eu la chance de goûter. Les pâtes arrabiata sont absolument parfaites, un 10/10, piquantes juste comme il faut. La lasagne est la meilleure que j'ai mangée. Les arancinis sont tellement bons; leur salade de mozzarella l'est tout autant. Les déserts sont également tous excellents. Notre restaurant préféré qui a malheureusement créé une accoutumance, nous allons devoir y retourner encore & encore. Merci pour vos bons plats!
Ce restaurant est mon choix numéro 1 le service est impeccable du propriétaire aux employés la nourriture est d'une gastronomie incroyable tout le menu est un délice le steak 😋 l'endroit est très propre & les prix vraiment raisonnable. Comme le dit ci bien le dicton ne jugez jamais un livre par la couverture sur ce bonne appétit!!!
J'ai pris l'assiette du pêcheur & c'était tellement bon que c'en était jouissif ! ;O) Merci à Nathalie pour son excellent service ! C'était notre 1ère visite & non la dernière.
J'avais 19 ans quand mon père a commencé à nous inviter à ce restaurant. Ça fait 40 ans de cela. Encore aujourd'hui, la nourriture, le service & l'ambiance sont du pareil au même... soit l'excellence. Un excellent choix pour une soirée intimiste ou en famille pour un repas apprêté par des mains de maître. Les prix sont très justes pour cette qualité. Longue vie au Pirate !

I ate there on a Saturday evening, got there around 9 great retro restaurant themed like a ship, there was an accordion player that sang, I had the lobster with pasta with escargot & shrimp as entree, good food & atmosphere the service was quick & the waitress was attentive, I would recommend & I plan to return, you have to make a reservation which was pretty easy on the website.or by phone.
The food was wonderful. Service impeccable. The menu was set but they even made changes for me at no extra cost. Nice to see that this is o e restaurant that has not changed after so many years.
My fiancée & I had our engagement party in the back of the restaurant in their private room & I can only say fantastic things about this restaurant.
The food, the service, the accommodations, Le Pirate De Laval knows how to offer amazing service to their customers, I've only good things to say about this place!! If you want to simply sit down to eat or have a party there with your loved ones then look at no other place, truly.

This is a great place to eat & drink with family. Very experienced staff. Very kind serve. We had to leave early while music & real fun was about to start.
We had so much food! bread, pasta, salad, prosciutto, roasted vegetables, calamari & a main course of either salmon, steak or lamb.
The staff was amazing & the atmosphere was great. A little tight as there were alot of people but the accordian player really added to the overall atmosphere. It felt more like a family gathering than a restaurant.
The bathrooms could use a renovation but were clean.
I personally loved everything but the salad & I found the pasta a bit doughy but the pasta sauce was tasty. Everything else was fresh, plentiful & delicious...especially the lamb. My wife didn't like the rice that came with the salmon & she also found the pasta to be just ok. She said the salmon was amazing & really liked the roasted vegetables.
I cannot comment on the cost as we were treated to dinner but the overall experience was great. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a great evening of food & entertainment. Our meal was almost 4 hours long as there was 6 courses plus some time for tea.
Super belle découverte, je vous conseille à 100% ce restaurant pour passer une belle soirée. Niveau nourriture tout était très bon, la qualité était vraiment au rendez-vous, tout était frais & délicieux. La seule chose que j'ai à dire c'est que si vous prenez qu'un plat sans entrée vous trouverez sûrement la quantité insuffisante, il manque un peu de garniture de mon point de vue. Après vous avez la possibilité de prendre des pâtes donc peut être que ça serait plus copieux avec les pâtes ! En tout cas c'est juste un détail mais si vous prenez une entrée avec un plat vous en aurez largement assez ! On vous sert une corbeille de pain avec du beurre & ça c'est très apprécié, en plus de ça le pain était vraiment très bon !
Niveau service c'était très agréable & très aimable nous avons passé une belle soirée !
Niveau prix ce n'est pas excessif pour la qualité des plats & même le vin est à prix très raisonnable également !
Niveau cadre & ambiance c'était vraiment intimiste, calme, un bel endroit pour une belle soirée.
Update 2025 : Rien à dire ! C'est toujours aussi bon au niveau de la nourriture & au niveau du service toujours très agréable & efficace, même avec du monde dans le restaurant on a été servis très rapidement. Nous avons passé une agréable soirée de Saint Valentin !
Magnifique restaurant. Plusieurs événements ont été organisés à ce resto. La nourriture est excellente & la service est de qualité. Le propriétaire est également très sympathique.
