Small space but that's what makes it great on event days!
Even if you dont know the people at other tables, we all get into a collective cheery mood as the games progress & thats what makes it special!
Drinks are amazing & dont be fooled by the simple menu, they flavour their food 😭❤?
The staff are gems of people❤?they went above & beyond to get me a coffee next door because their machine broke, honestly a 100/10 place to have fun🥰
It's my first time & def wont be my last as I spotted many board games that I want to play🥰 until next time Jokers
The atmosphere & feel of the place was very cozy & welcoming. They have a wide range of games for every group. The employee was very nice & gave amazing recommendations for drinks & games. Which every recommendation was spot on. As well as helping us by explaining the game & its rules. Definitely will be coming back to this place.
Loved this cozy board game cafe. It was just what my wife & I were looking for: not too big/loud, good selection of games, good drinks & you can't beat this location. For even more boardgame shopping, it's right across the street from Le Maitre de Jeux. We're definitely going back here for date night!
Loved our evening here! Great selection of games & the service was really fantastic! Highly recommend whether you are a longtime board gamer or newer to the hobby, or even if you just wanna play a party game or a classic!
Food was good however they had run out of a few items we wanted to order. Serving mozerella sticks with ketchup isn't the best move. Staff was very friendly & knowledgeable on the games, our group had a great time overall.

When I heard we were getting a board game pub where OptikInfo/Maitre du Jeu used to be, I was nothing short of skeptical of the amount of space in that unit…
Sure enough, it feels like the space is too small for what they're trying to do. As a well-seasoned board gamer with a huge library at home, I couldn't get over how small the tables were… it's near-impossible to have anything substantial to eat while or close to when playing a game that's not a family-kids-oriented game.
I applaud them for bringing a pub ludique to Verdun, but the space is too small. Opening without proper sound treatment in the room is also an issue, as it's a very loud/boomy room without any sound paneling or proper sound absorption to improve the ambiance.
Everything feels crammed. The menu only being vegetarian or vegan (forget which), the table size, the overall lack of space for gaming, the hours being weird, all of it. I've been to a Joker location on the South Shore, LOVED it, would give 5*.
This one, is a'yes, 100% agree that Verdun needs a pub ludique. No, this is not the right size or use of space'.
Couldn't believe how tasty the food was & so vegan-friendly as well! I got the brown sugar boba during the games & it was delicious :) A bunch of great game options that kept the vibe constantly changing & exciting, & was really exciting to try a bunch of new ones! The staff were so warm & inviting, & I can't wait to go back with friends!
The food, even though it was vegan replicas of omnivorous meals were great! The tuna onigiri, I thought it was real tuna. They know the games well & were able to effectively explain it & were willing to walk us through the rules if we were confused.
A really niche dining-&-gaming restaurant in Verdun. This place is truly a gem. It offers fusion dishes with both Eastern & Western flavors, all super tasty. Onigiri & bao are soooo good!!
They also have a huge selection of board games, & the staff are incredibly knowledgeable-they explain the rules clearly so you can start playing right away. With wide ranging games available, you can spend whole night playing here. The food is great, the drinks are delicious, & every employee is genuinely kind. Highly recommended!

Came from the States, visiting my sister. She's a vegetarian, but I'm not. I only become vegetarian when visiting my sis. As an omnivorous, the food was very good, not too salty or too light. The fries amazed me, not as McDonald's. It's crunchy, tasty & flavored, I didn't see salt added on top of it, the flavor might be in the flour. The bun just tasted great. & big applause to the onigiri. I can tell they are definitely fresh made. The rice are hot, not just warm. As a beginner to board games, they also have beginner-friendly games. I tried at least 5 games, my favorite will be the Orbito, brain storming, nice one to calm down after a little drink. I will definitely recommend it to my friends lives in the area or just visiting Montreal.
