With its green marble formica walls and terrazo floors, Le Cheval Blanc is your vintage working class neighbourhood old time tavern. Located in what used to be called the Faubourg à la Mélasse (the Molasses District), it became the first licensed brew pub in Montréal, back in 1986. J'étais déjà venue dans les dernières 10 années mais Alex nous a vraiment surpris avec son chaleureux accueil, on est revenus & on se sent encore plus à la maison. Définitivement un endroit où tu deviens un habitué. Du staff qui sont en service par passion & ça parait 🤍
J'ai eu la chance de jouer dans cet mythique taverne hier & je dois dire le que staff est en OR. Nous avons été reçu comme des rois. Merci à toute l'équipe! 😍
Grâce à leur wifi gratuit, ils nous ont sauvé pour nous permettre de récupérer les codes du logement que nous avons loué; codes que tu ne reçois que lorsque tu arrives & quand tu ne viens pas du Canada, tu n'as pas vraiment de forfait téléphone canadien ! Bref, merci encore au Cheval blanc !!
The beer is the star of the show here. Lots of choices for any taste & not terribly priced. The vibe is cool, the staff is nice but the food is just average tbh. Definitely would be back for a night of beers though.
This place could be improved. The atmosphere is old & the place does not smell good, the waiters are too careless & do not know their menu very well, & about the food I ordered a calzone which ended up being a small "empanada", wrong & tricky naming. The beer is good though but I don't think I would repeat.

I appreciate iate the lighting & volume of music... nothing too intense. The little food we had was very good. But the beer is the star of the show. Cool, laid-back spot in a very centralized part of town
Lowkey microbrwery. Moderate selection of freshly-brewed beers. Service was good. They have chessboards you can play on as well. This is a more relaxed bar.
Great Looking bar, with lots of people, service was quick, but the waiters need to read the room literally its less being to our beck & call, & more so hurrying us to order everytime, i get the pressure to make money but dont pressure me to buy another round when im enjoying a conversation with friends.
