Lasalle Drive-in, a classic. I now live on the east side of Montreal & every time I come back to Lasalle, I order 2x Peter's special to-go. There isn't a sandwich like a Peter's special. I even tried making some homemade...it doesn't taste the same. If you wonder what to eat there, give it a try. You won't regret.

Food is delicious. Location is very nice. Is clean just not modern decor which is fine by me even the food is that delicious & the views are great. Friendly staff.
The poutine at LaSalle Drive-In was just okay. The sauce was alright but could use a little kick. Unfortunately, they don't use cheese curds, just shredded cheese, which doesn't make sense for a poutine. If you don't order the sauce on the side, you end up with a soggy, soup-like mess.
I will say that the service received was spot on. They messed up my order & had it fixed pronto. Unfortunately, the food way sorely lacking. The burgers were fine, nothing to get excited over. The Michigan hotdogs had what clearly tasted like a "straight from the can" sauce. Don't even get me started on the "poutine" with grated cheese.

I pass a dozen other pizza joints to get to the Drive In. Fantastic, old school comfort food. No crazy menu items, just all the classics, beautifully prepared & served in generous portions. The pizza & souvlaki are terrific, but the meat lover sub & onion rings are what keep me coming back.
