Depuis près de 12 ans maintenant, nous réservons toujours une table à l'Ancêtre pour la veille du Jour de l'An & nous n'avons jamais été déçus. Toujours de bons repas, les prix ne sont pas exorbitants, le service est impeccable & l'ambiance est parfaite !! Merci à tout le personnel & bonne continuité à l'Ancêtre!

Pénurie de personnel? Le barman faisait aussi le service du repas, donc pas souvent disponible au bar au fil de la soirée.

Accueil chaleureux, 4 services absolument exquis & traité aux petits oignons dès que j'ai franchi l'entrée de l'établissement, tenu par M. Richard & son équipe dévouée. L'immeuble, est riche en histoires, souvenirs & expériences vécues au fil du temps. Le décor du restaurant & des salles, temoigne & nous plonge dans une ambiance lointaine, de vrai souper aux petites chandelles, musique douce flottant, très romantique...Bravo! Merci pour cette expérience authentique & à la fois, complètement surréaliste.😍 Je recommande sans hésiter ! & je vais retourner très bientôt !

Je n'ai pas mangé au restaurant, mais plutôt dans une des salles de réception lors d'un souper dansant (non organisé par le restaurant). Le service a été impeccable & la nourriture excellente. Seul bémol, il faisait très chaud dans la salle malgré l'air climatisé.

In general this restaurant is Meh... Nothing special though... Okay steak, with good gratin, ok cream of vegetable & ok salad. The creme brulee was smaller than I thought. We had a specific menu because of our big group party. The options werent very exciting. Either chicken, porc, shrimp or beef. I had beef. The waitress didnt ask me what cooking I wanted. I had to specify I wanted to very red. In total (soup, salad, main meal, coffee & dessert) it came to 37$ tax & tip.
I would not recommend this restaurant. Go to Chez Lien while youre at it, its right across the street.
