service was slow. Our friends received their soup & our salads came 15 minutes later. The mixed green salad had way too much dressing. The calamari were good. The striped bass was cooked well. The muscles with seafood were ok.
Excellent, kind, efficient service & striking ambiance. Well-spaced tables. Almost a full meal (just missing dessert) for $30-36 is unheard of to these transplanted Torontonian's ears. Mussels were delicious, as were the perfectly-cooked French fries & their addictive dipping sauce. You can bring your own wine, & there is no corkage fee – a rarity (or, likely, impossibility) in Toronto, & so, so welcome. I took off one star for the Caesar salad, which I understand is memorable at lunch, but was kinda soppy at supper. Looking forward to returning on my next visit to Montréal.
