About

La Voûte offers a distinct culinary experience centered on precise Japanese techniques and contemporary grill methods. The menu features an array of expertly crafted sushi rolls alongside proteins prepared over open flame to enhance natural flavors. Patrons encounter a space defined by high ceilings and historical architectural elements that shape the sensory environment. Signature dishes emphasize seasonal seafood and high-quality cuts of meat arranged with technical accuracy. Skilled practitioners manage the kitchen to ensure consistency across every plate served in this converted banking vault. Each item reflects a rigorous approach to texture and balance, prioritizing the integrity of fresh ingredients above all else. This establishment provides a focused environment for those seeking a direct intersection of traditional sushi artistry and robust, fire-based cooking preparations in a subterranean setting.

Le Voute in Montreal is hands-down one of the best nights out in the city. It's a supper club/cabaret set up in the basement of an old bank vault downtown - you walk in & the whole vibe hits you immediately. Service was excellent, food was excellent - we got tomahawk steak, ribeye, sushi boats, a few cocktails, & everything delivered.

The real standout was the cabaret burlesque show mid-dinner. Felt like watching the Moulin Rouge - killer soundtrack, gorgeous, insanely talented dancers, genuinely blew us away. Once the show wrapped, the whole vault flips into a packed EDM club - cocktail dresses, good-looking crowd, DJs killing it.

Ten out of ten. Best spot in Montreal for a bachelorette, bachelor party, birthday, or just a night out with friends where you want dinner, a show, & a club all in one place. Couldn't recommend it more.

This is only one of the few'clubs' open on a Sunday night in the area. . The sushi & drinks were well prepared. Service was good until it got busier. The show with the girl on the chains was absolutely the highlight. She was great. The atmosphere is very pretty & engaging. Major complaint is the DJ & music. The entire night the DJ played only lounge electronic, no words in the songs, no trending music. Repeated the same 20 songs. You couldn't dance to any of it. It was so anticlimactic, we left early.

An amazing Resto/ Bar like great steaks & sushi, & cocktails, & entertaining shows (kind of like burlesque, girls performing with ropes, hula hoops, rainy dance in a bath-tub, …), great to enjoy if you're alone, a couple, a group of friends, family, either you're staying at Montreal or just visiting. At 11 PM they gather chairs & tables & the place turns into a fun crowded nightclub. The staff are super nice, & they participate in cheering & encouraging the guests to enjoy your dance, & they give you white napkins for the show to turn & have fun.

Three flight of stairs down for one of the worst & most overpriced sushi platter. You want wasabi ? That's gonna be extra. Don't go for the food.

The Sushi platter was nice & fresh, but don't expect to receive a plate like the ones in professional Sushi restaurants.

I got Macarons as dessert & there were 8 on a plate which was, imo, good for the price.

The vibe was nice, the service was good, but the DJ's music was not my personal favorite.

It's worth trying once, but I wouldn't pick this as my go to club.

Food consistently good at la voute! Sushi was very fresh & service was excellent, Better than expected for a supper-club. Atmosphere was very nice, we also stayed for the Layali event which was great fun. Music was really amazing! Overall a great night at la voute!

Unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. My first impression coming into the space was wonderful. The bank is just beautiful. The food was all very good but the service was terrible & what was even more disappointing was the entertainment. Nothing like the videos online. I mean nothing!

Details if you want to read on:
Upon sitting we got menus which were dirty & looked very worn, the table was wobbly & had 2 broken glasses, considering the caliber I thought that was very sloppy. Ordered drinks, appetizers & I got the $230 6oz wagyu. It took about 30 min before we got our first entrees. There was a miss communication on which should come first so they brought out our $230 steak first while we were in the restroom. Yes a cool sparkler presentation for the other guests at the table. They bought us a round of drinks for the miscommunication. Oh we waited a while for two out of the 5 drinks because the bar was backed up at 10:30z Honestly didn't care that the steak came first but I think it's important to make sure the guest is seated before bringing out food. We asked for wasabi & a sauce for our sushi & waited over 20 min for it. Not great since you really need those to finish eating your meal. After food we ordered dessert, the Dubai chocolate & macaroons. We waited an easy 40 min for it. They totally forgot about it, the staff asked us if we were all set only to find out we hadn't received our dessert. They were so interested in moving our table it took away from the experience. The food was delicious, the steak was amazing, drinks were great & dessert was ok. Dubai chocolate was great the macarons came out of a box & were not great.
Ok entertainment during dinner was a joke. Nothing like cabaret or even close to the videos online.
