Appreciate the ciabatta to start but could have been warmed. I understand the bruschetta is complementary but a little extra seasoning would help. The blend wine we ordered at 60 wasn't really for me, but my parents enjoyed it. The second wine, a recommendation, was good. Antipasti serenata was a good selection. I really liked my seafood linguine with the white wine sauce. My dad had perfect lamb chops. My mom found the veal scaloppini a little disappointing compared to ours, but it looked typical. Tufello dessert was unique & a nice way to end the meal. The creme brûlée was basic but well made.
Service was friendly but I do have issues with the menu. Too many of the pastas came with a tomato sauce. It's nice that you can ask for a different one but that should be mentioned on the menu. Nothing had a pesto sauce for example. There's a mistake in the English translation where it translates the grilled lamb chops to a each of lamb. The note saying all dishes come with potatoes & vegetables should be on every page.
The decor could have been more Mediterranean & less generic.
Service was slow & inattentive. However, it was unforgivable & unimaginable that the chef allowed an Aglio e olio to leave the kitchen brimming with burnt garlic (black pieces) & dry & grainy pasta. I was looking for a good Italian resto in the West Island. Never again.
I'm so glad I've rediscovered this restaurant. Used to go years ago often!
The new location is bright & vibrant, decor is first class. Now let's start with the food, if I give it 6 stars I would. Service was fantastic & the waiter was so accommodating with customized menu items.
The lentil soup just we love it , tomoto salad that I'm still dreaming about! My pasta with scallops was spot on. The wine selection is fantastic! I strongly suggest don't walk but run there you will absolutely love it.
We were 2 couples eating at this restaurant. We were warmly greeted upon entry & seated. Service was good & menu had Table D'hote & A la carte options. We all went with the first. We were treated to a complimentary plate of bruschetta toast & they were nice. The starter salad was good but the angel hair pasta was delicious. I had the chicken Saltimboca & my wife & my friend had the Mediterranean Sea bass & his wife had the lamb shank. The largest portion was by far the lamb. The chicken was good but nothing special. The sea bass was a particularly small portion which was ok for my wife but small for my buddy. All in all, the value is there & food was decent. The standout was the pasta. An enjoyable evening.
Went to their new location on Boul St Charles in Kirkland, food was excellent, service was excellent! Tried their Linguini Pescatore, which is a seafood platter with pasta, would highly recommend. Will definitely be going back in the future.
