Institution de la gastronomie italienne à Montréal depuis plus de vingt ans, La Medusa est une histoire de famille, celle de la famille D’Adderio. Fidèle aux recettes traditionnelles, La Medusa mise sur les ingrédients de première qualité. Tout est fait maison : des antipasti aux dolce. Vous vous régalerez du carpaccio de bœuf, de la pizza piemontese à la truffe noire et au parmesan, de la lasagne « Nonna Palmira », de l’osso buco et tutti quanti. La Medusa dispose d’un salon privé qui peut être réservé pour des groupes de 10 à 50 personnes. Pour des célébrations d’envergure, le restaurant peut aussi accueillir jusqu’à 120 personnes sur deux niveaux et mettre à disposition un équipement de présentation, de sonorisation et d’éclairage.

La Medusa est décrite comme un endroit italien accueillant avec un service chaleureux et une ambiance conviviale, idéal pour les groupes et les occasions spéciales, avec des plats faits maison et des pizzas savoureuses. Le personnel est attentif et disponible, prenant soin des intolérances et des besoins des clients, et l'emplacement en centre-ville facilite les sorties avant ou après un spectacle ou un match, avec une belle carte des vins. Quelques remarques sur le rapport qualité-prix et sur un service parfois plus lent existent, mais l'expérience globale est mémorable et plaisante.
The food was amazing. I ordered the Penne Santa Barbara & it was served hot & looked fantastic. It was very creamy & the salmon was perfect. The staff was amazing & very friendly. Very funny & I never had to wait too long for anything I ordered or asked for.
The servers were rude & acted like they didn't care about our orders, they didn't serve us any water for 30 minutes, took forever to take our orders & we had to wait 40 mins for our food to be served. We had to leave before our food arrived because it was taking a long time & they tried to charge us for the food we didn't get to eat. The only reason I give 4 stars in food is because the appetizer was good, I just wish I had gotten to try the other stuff.
Didn't have a great experience. My tagliatele noodles were undercooked (below al dente) though others who ordered thinner noodles like spaghetti were al dente, which makes me believe they cook all types of noodles the same amount of time. Wrong. Everyone did agree on flavour being good though. Servers were a bit confused & all over the place. A touch rude when answering menu questions but nothing overboard. We were asked if we wanted flat or sparkling, we said flat & were served that, but then other servers came in & refilled our cups with sparkling (which we didn't want but tolerated). We were then all charged for sparkling. It's a small amount so I let it slide, but it bugged me on the principle of being charged for their mistake... Overall, multiple small but tolerable mistakes for an okay meal. Still, at this price range, I expect better & I wouldn't go back. You go to these types of places to have a good business lunch. Nobody wants to nitpick on mistakes in that setting.
Arrogant service people, overpriced average food, restaurant personnel have absolutely no respect for customers. I have eaten there twice. The first & last time.

We were a table of 8 plus a baby. Brought my family whom was from out of town to come eat to celebrate my stepson's admission into the army. The owner/waiters were so attentive & caring & gave us extra attention by conversating with us as well as showing how they are family oriented. It was exceptional service that we have never gotten in any other restaurant i have been to in Montreal or even anywhere. The food was excellent with not a long wait between courses. The whole meal ended with a little extra thought by the waiter whom brings a little glass filled with candy. The finishing touch that makes the clientele want to come back. Thank you for the lovely evening. It was the perfect memorable soirée :-)
Restaurant italien authentique. Mon entrée d'escargots & mon plat rigatoni gigi étaient très délicieux, les pâtes goûteuses, bien assaisonnées & parfaitement aldente! Mini bémol: même si vous prenez de l'eau plate, elle est chargée en supplément, mais sinon le staff & service c'était parfait.
Nice place. If you get fried calamari, ask for spicy mayo or marinara otherwise they give you cocktail sauce. Stick with the pizza. The waitress told me it was thin, but it was neapolitan style (which is good). Don't get the broccoli Rabe one. The broccoli rabe was too whole, too raw, & too bitter for the pizza. either margarita or spicy prosciutto. Spagetti Carbonara was soupy. Too much pasta water.. other than the carbonara the food was ok just maybe not my preference. Again, stick with the pizza, it was tasty neapolitan style.
I appreciate the ambiance of this establishment, where I can enjoy a sophisticated atmosphere without disruptions (kids). The personalized service, where I can simply express my preferences & trust the waiter or owner to bring me the finest dishes, is a highlight. While it is on the pricier side, the quality of both the food & service justify the cost.
Une belle découverte, un service exceptionnel, mon conjoint & moi avions choisi ce resto car il est tout près du centre Bell. Une belle grande cave à vin. Le repas était délicieux.
