Reviews of La Fabrique de Bagel Montréal show a generally positive picture of the bagels, praised for fresh textures, a wide range of cream cheeses, and tasty combinations like smoked salmon and avocado, though a few orders are noted as soggy or burnt and some fillings can feel pricey for the portion. Service is highlighted as friendly, efficient, and attentive, even when the cafe is crowded in the mall setting, while a small number of comments mention mixed experiences with staff or occasional inconsistencies in coffee quality. The atmosphere is described as busy but welcoming, with many appreciating the variety and quality of bagels and the ability to customize sandwiches. Some reviews crown the place among the best bagels in Montreal or even North America, though several note higher prices for the experience. Overall, La Fabrique de Bagel Montréal comes across as a reliable go to for Montreal style bagels with standout cream cheese flavors and solid service, with day to day variation in quality and pricing.
Le menu n'était pas clair, prix pas explicitement afficher, nourriture fade, bagel à peine chaud & surtout un prix excessivement cher. ( 27$ pour seulement deux bagels, sans boissons, sans accompagnement.)

Ordered on Too Good to Go. Was during the holidays. Pick up time & closing time didn't match up. Went early & got bag early. Had 2 dozen bagels. Decent bagels ( St. Viateaur still wins) & worth the money & trip. Will return.
I would not go to this location again. My family very clearly have not been here before & were asking questions, all of our questions were answered coldly. They also seemed to be in a rush to complete our order despite there only being one person in line behind us. It was very hard to decide what to get as all the options are written in white marker on clear glass so hard to see from afar, as well as the staff was continually asking "any other bagels", "anything else", "any other bagels for your order", it is quite difficult to order when people are talking over you. It seemed as though they were so busy speaking over us asking if we wanted anything else that they actually gave us the wrong bagel for one of your orders, I ordered the rosemary & received an everything bagel. We didn't even go back to correct them as no one wanted to deal with what may come when we try to correct them based on the service we received while ordering.
I got the salmon with caper bagel. Honestly, it was just mediocre. Bagel was dry & stale. Not sure what the hype was about. Pretty sure you can find better ones elsewhere.
Delicious bagels, always fresh, with high-quality ingredients. The variety caters to every taste. & the staff is super friendly & nice. The manager, Chris, makes sure that every customer is happy & satisfied.
Excellent selection & exceptional service. Great spot if you're in the thick of the city & need a quick & delicious snack & beverage. Appreciated the variety of selection for me & my kids.
Bagel was delicious but be careful of the pricing... Bagel with cream cheese & smoked salmon is advertised as $4.95 but I asked if they could add capers & ended up being charged over $16 before tip. EDIT: Changed to 4 stars based on owner's explanation below as I clearly misunderstood the menu (but still just a little too pricy for me).

Fresh bagel but nothing special. A bit overpriced, I find but that's okay. Not a big difference. What makes it below average is the service. They keep sugar, milk cream behind counter, not accessible to customers & the server doesn't even ask you if you need sugar, cream & even a stirrer despite of a 6$ tip. You have to ask. Plus my bagel was supposed to be toasted, waited for two server just for that only to get it back almost untoasted. Won't go back there.
This was my first Montreal bagel. It was pretty different from the NY version. The crusty texture was more reminiscent of a bialy. & it was sweeter & somewhat denser too. Size wise, it was a bit smaller. Maybe if I had grown up eating these, I would appreciate them more but overall I'll stick to the NY version.
The bagels are top notch. Highly recommend the pear, brie & prosciutto, amazing. The everything Bagel is really good & I enjoyed the jalapeno cream cheese. Mango & peach smoothie is amazing, get it. Very nice girls working front of house on both Saturday afternoon & Sunday morning with excellent customer service.
