Well this one is hard. We were welcome by an angel, all smiling & so kind & aware. Then we sat at the bar.. we always do for a better experience. The martini was good, the wine after, of course ( good selection btw) but the atmosphere was a disaster. Stuck a the bar watching employes chating & laughing even bumping on me on my way out of the washroom. Clients or prob friends rubbing being the bar & flirting with the staff.. I wouldn't have care really but the staff was so loud that I couldn't enjoy a conversation with my partner. The rest of the bar looked pretty annoyed too.. & waiting for service. It was only 7pm. & the place was half capacity at that time.
The food , decor & wine selection are there.
But the place shows a lack of management.
Will still recommend for wine selection, food, & the angel at the door.
Musique beaucoup trop forte. Malheureusement ça a rendu notre expérience désagréable. On allait là pour souper entre filles, on est sorties dès que notre repas a été fini pour pouvoir se parler sans crier. Notre réservation était 19:30, pas 23h! Dommage car la bouffe était géniale & le service impeccable.
Good food. Mostly small portions for sharing but occasional dishes are moderately large (e.g. pasta was a good sized plate). It's a good idea to clarify when you order. Prices are on the higher end.
Service was prompt & friendly. The speed of darkening the room was a bit amusing since we left the dark restaurant & were nearly blinded by the sun.
Possibly a strange complaint but the chairs are awkward. Every chair & bench has a very low back with almost no support which isn't great for anyone older, or with back issues. Or me who just wants to lean back & relax. The chairs also have curved backs which is pretty restrictive for people with larger bodies.
Éliane is such a friendly person, so welcoming & knows how to take care of her clients. It's a very beautiful restaurant, with nice decor & the food is impeccable & super delicious. Staff is amazing. Highly recommended.
Great place. Oysters were great. Fries had a great presentation. Risotto was to die for. Only thing is music was a little loud but music was tasteful so did not get annoyed. Will go back.
J'ai organisé un 5 à 7 corporatif à La Buvette avec une quarantaine de convives & un mot unanime est ressorti à la fin de la soirée : wow! De la prise de contact pour la planification de l'événement au déroulement de la soirée, ce fût une expérience agréable. Personnel chaleureux, sympathique & avenant. Excellente nourriture & belle proposition de variétés de cocktails & de vins pour divertir vos papilles. Je recommande cet endroit & j'y retournerai assurément pour des événements personnels.
