La Belle Tonki is an absolute gem. From start to finish, the entire experience was fantastic. The service was excellent, & despite them not taking reservations, the wait was only about 15 minutes, which was very manageable. The atmosphere is top-notch, as the decor is super nice & sets a great mood.
We started with their home beers, specifically the Cinq Dix & La Juicy Tonki, both of which were delicious. The Papaya à la playa was a true standout; it tasted incredibly close to what my Cambodian grandmother used to make when I was young. It was super flavorful, fresh, & is definitely a must-order. We also really loved the Carpaccio.
For our mains, we had the Burger Drip Tonki Roch & the Morue Amok. Both were awesome, fresh, & packed with flavor, & I highly recommend ordering either of these. We finished the night with the crème brulée au pandan, which was the perfect way to end the meal.
Everything we had was wonderful & I will definitely be coming back. I also love that they participate in the Défi Zéro Déchet; it is great to see a restaurant so committed to sustainability. Highly recommended!
Quelle belle découverte sur la rue Beaubien! Nous avons passé une soirée formidable & nous nous sommes régalés du début à la fin.
Tout était absolument délicieux, mais le coup de coeur revient sans hésiter à la présentation colorée des plats. La petite ombrelle décorative posée sur l'assiette apporte une touche tellement charmante & joyeuse à la table.
L'ambiance est vraiment accueillante & le service est impeccable. C'est une adresse incontournable pour ceux qui cherchent une cuisine savoureuse dans un cadre convivial. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Love the vibe! The decor is fire, as someone that loves anime myself. My husband loves the kimchi poutine but I thought the laksa ramen could've had more laksa taste tho when we went during the Ramen Fest but would def eat here again to try the other stuff!
Petit restaurant fusion très agréable, belle décoration, bonne ambiance! Nous étions trois, vers 18h30. Il y avait beaucoup de monde, nous avons dû attendre un peu mais ça en valait la peine. Les plats étaient délicieux (poutine végé & morue Madok). Je recommande!! Le service très agréable aussi.
Vers 20h - 20h30, ça semblait plus simple de trouver une place pour les mange tard 😊
I visited Montreal from Toronto, & a friend recommended this place. Honestly, if it's not the best, it's definitely one of the best spots I've tried in Montreal. My boyfriend & I ordered family-style, which allowed us to try a great variety of dishes-I highly recommend doing the same. Everything was delicious, especially the pork dumplings, carpaccio, & bánh mì burger. I loved the décor as well. I would definitely come back on my next visit to Montreal.
I tried the Ramen & Poutine DAC Biet at La Belle Tonki, & both completely blew me away. The Ramen Laksa was rich, creamy, & packed with flavor a perfect balance of spice & coconut that warmed me up in the very cold night instantly.
The Poutine DAC Biet was another highlight, classic Quebec comfort food with a fun twist. Crispy fries, melty cheese curds, & that savory gravy that ties everything together. You can tell they put real care into combining Asian & Montreal street food Fusion in a way that totally works.
Ending everything with their Creme Brulee Cafe Viet & Amaretto.
The vibe of the place was super chill & welcoming, & the staff were friendly & attentive.
Not to mention the Manga/Old School/Gaming vibe that you get from the decoration!
Definitely we'll be back for more from this spot.
Cuisine asiatique fusion à la croisée du Vietnam, du Cambodge & de la Thaïlande. Décor lanterne & manga collée, atmosphère festive assez bruyante. Des plats comme udon tom yum crevettes udon avec sauce société très légère & nouilles croustillantes & des aubergines miso à se rouler par terre. Bref on va revenir !
