Une végétarienne comme moi ne fréquenterait normalement pas un restaurant ayant Boeuf dans le nom mais j'y ai récemment accompagné un groupe de collègues de travail qui sont omnivores.

Le choix est limité mais considérant que je ne suis pas de la clientèle cible, c'était conforme à mes attentes & pour une fois, on me propose autre chose que de la pizza végétarienne ou de la poutine.

Malgré la galette végé que j'aurais demandé à part si j'avais bien lu le menu, j'ai été agréablement surprise par le Bol végétarien. Un petit bémol cependant: des tranches de radis un peu molles qui ne goûtaient pas grand chose. À 25$ le plat, je crois légitime de s'attendre à ce que tous les ingrédients soient frais. Mais sinon, tout le reste du plat était vraiment délicieux & juste assez piquant à mon goût. La portion était généreuse; j'ai mangé au delà de ma faim & il en restait encore, en plus de la galette que j'ai apporté à mon mari. Je me suis bien régalée.

Le service était satisfaisant. Si j'avais pu avoir un grilled cheese à la place, ou une vraie réponse de la serveuse quand j'ai demandé si c'était possible d'avoir un des grilled cheese du menu mais sans la viande, il aurait été parfait.

L'ambiance était bien. La musique était un peu forte par contre. Nous étions un grand groupe & c'était difficile de discuter avec les collègues assises plus loin mais j'ai quand même passé un très bon moment.

Si vous êtes végétarien(ne)s aussi & que vous vous demandez si ce resto peut vous convenir, en compagnie d'omnivores, oui je le recommande. Ils vont adorer si vous les y amenez. Je songe y retourner avec des ami(e)s.

Mais ce serait encore mieux si on aurait la possibilité de commander les grilled cheese du menu, sans la viande; ils ont l'air vraiment appétissants. J'imagine une version sans viande (& sans galette) du King Kong & je salive. Avec une bonne pinte de Murphy's, ce serait tellement bon.

We arrived to a virtually empty restaurant, but were immediately made to feel like an inconvenience by the hostess. She initially tried to seat our party of five at a booth that clearly could not accommodate us.

It then took approximately 20 minutes for our server to come take our drink orders. During that time, he was frequently distracted by the FIFA soccer game playing on the screen. Once our drinks were ordered, they arrived fairly promptly & he took our food order.

Our burrata appetizer took about 25 minutes to arrive, followed by an additional 45-minute wait for our mains. At no point during our meal did our server or any staff member check in on us. We eventually had to flag down the hostess, who seemed to be the only person actively working the floor, to address an issue with one of the dishes. The menu described a sweet sauce for the bowl, but what was served was essentially oil & hot sauce. Her response was dismissive, stating,'That's the sauce that comes with it. You should have read better.'

To the server's credit, when we were finally able to speak with him, he did bring the correct sauce. The food itself was good & filling, but not reflective of the price point given the overall experience & service level.

At checkout, we were also surprised to see that the only suggested tip options were 20% & 25%, which felt excessive given the level of service received.

When given the atm machine they tried to impose a 20% tip on a place that sells fast food! The fact you think people will tip 20$ for burgers is laughable
