KINTON RAMEN opened its first location in May 2012, debuting as Toronto’s first authentic Japanese ramen bar. With a dedicated focus on ramen, executive chef Aki Urata is uncompromising in his pursuit to serve the best quality noodles and broth. Our experienced ramen chefs prepare each and every topping, using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients. At KINTON RAMEN we invite you to experience our variety of exceptional ramen bowls, right down to the last drop.
Kinton Ramen is consistently praised for rich, flavorful broth, chewy noodles, and generous toppings, with pork, beef, and spicy garlic ramen among the favorites and a comforting, warming feel that makes it a top pick on cold days. The ramen is described as well balanced and carefully prepared, with tender meat and fresh accompaniments, and the gyoza and karaage often mentioned as excellent add ons, along with desserts like yuzu ice cream. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a modern, friendly vibe, and the service is repeatedly noted as fast, attentive, and welcoming, making it a reliable spot for casual meals, dates, or group outings. Many reviewers mention good value for money and a consistently high standard in both dine in and takeout experiences, though one account notes a lapse in honoring a dietary restriction and another mentions missing items in a takeout bag. Overall, Kinton Ramen is seen as a top ramen destination with loyal fans for the original beef and spicy garlic pork ramens, a wide range of flavors, and dependable service that keeps patrons returning.
Kinton Ramen is a fantastic spot that I adore for its inviting atmosphere, convenient location, & delicious food. The menu is straightforward, allowing you to mix & match ingredients to create your perfect bowl of ramen. The washrooms are impeccably clean, showing a thoughtful gesture of appreciation towards their guests. Despite being always full, especially during my usual Saturday lunchtime visits, the experience is always worth it.

My flight landed at 21:00 & I found the restaurant on google maps. The food is really good. Mon vol a atterri à 21h00 & j'ai trouvé le restaurant sur Google Maps. La nourriture est vraiment bonne.
We took original pork soups. We were not impressed at all. The small porc pieces were two, & fat, looked like bacon, a lot of noodles & the rest almost nothing, no liquid, few onions & mushrooms, one egg cut in two. The taste not the best but ok to eat. For this price, you can find a better soup. & more toppings inside. If you like only to feel the belly, take this, & the noodles will fill it. The think that i will never undertand here in Quebec, why all the restos add a lot of ice in any drinks or water, winter-summer, this is crazy. Anyone know how bad is this?
The food here is pretty decent - the broth & gyoza are both flavourful. The staff & are friendly but they always seem to dip out when getting the bill. I end up waiting at my table for like 10-15 minutes before having to walk to the cash to actually pay. It's not clear where to pay. If this issue would resolve, the service would be really good.
I come every now & then after working late & it always is fantastic. The pork shoyu is great, serving staff are always eager to help & accomadate everything they can. Pleasant people & great food
I tried the original pork ramen with the thick noodles. The lunch special was $11.99. Great deal to try two different options. It was delicious. I found the broth needed a bit of spice, so I added sriracha. It was great! The pork was nicely seared. The service was good too. I like that the glasses of water are in metal tall cups to keep it extra cold! Bonus the bathrooms have mouth wash & toothpicks, which was nice after the meal.
The ramen is pretty good, the noodles weren't very flavourful & the pork was not tonkatsu, just a slice of pork, boiled, but the broth was surprisingly good & the soft boiled egg was perfect. There was no option for sauces to add, like in many other ramen shops (black garlic etc...). I also has the Spicy Karage which was really good. Overall a 3.5/5

Sets the bar for ramen. Every other ramen place should be at least as good for me to even consider nowadays. There are better ramen places for sure, but if I'm craving ramen & I don't want to go downtown, I don't feel like I'm settling for less when I hit up Kinton.
I took my friend here for lunch as she's from out of town & has really been wanting to try Ramen. This was definitely NOT the place to take her. The service above all else was terrible. The waitress came to take our order & we never saw anyone again for the rest of our meal, no check ins whatsoever. I ordered a chicken appetizer which was lacking any flavour, literally tasted like burnt chicken, rice & way too much salt. This could have been remedied if there was even a little bit of quality service at this place... the ramen was also of low quality. Really disappointing & definitely would not be back since when we expressed ourselves there was no apology or any kind of service recovery besides taking an uneaten dish off the bill which is bare minimum.
Food is always good, but telling us 15 mins after we ordered & paid that you don't have the noodles we asked for is a bit neglectful of of customer service .

This ramen spot nails it! Broth is delicious, & the appetizers are amazing. Service is quick & the staff is super friendly! Perfect for a quick, tasty meal.
loved loved loved our dinner at kinton ramen. veggie dumplings were crispy & delicious & we demolished them quickly! then our soup meals came & mine was so flavorful & comforting & enormous i can't wait to have it again. eating with the authentic wooden ladles makes it so fun & a memorable experience. hubby's been to asia many times & really enjoyed the staff calling out in japanese & the atmosphere overall. added bonus: really nice bathrooms! we'll be back without question, with the kidz to enjoy the family meal deal!
