Katsu Sushi shines with fresh, flavorful sushi and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The service is praised as fast and attentive, making it a reliable choice for lunch or casual dinners with friends. Value is a strong point, with all-you-can-eat options and affordable lunch specials, and the menu offers a wide range of sushi and creative bites, including seared and flame-toasted pieces. Recent ownership changes brought shifts, including the end of the bring-your-own-wine option, but the restaurant remains a popular spot for quality sushi at a good price and a lively, welcoming vibe. Overall, guests appreciate consistent quality, friendly staff, and a place that feels good for gatherings or casual nights out.
The service was absolutely what I have come to expect from Katsu, however the seating arrangement left much to be desired. I am not one to leave nasty reviews normally, but I was squeezing through tables, & had to fall into my seat trying to avoid hitting someone else's table. As much as it is difficult to arrange many 2 person tables on Valentine's day, I sincerely had higher hopes than this.
The food was absolutely not what I've come to expect, & I sincerely hope this was some sort of a fluke. The fish tasted frozen, the miso soup was nearly tasteless, & the best thing on the table was the edamame. I am so saddened to see such poor quality here.
I've previously always enjoyed how fresh & delicious the food is, but I had a very disappointing experience here on Valentine's Day when I brought my partner - it seemed like everything was frozen/premade, including getting frozen salmon, cold grilled eel, & the garlic beef which was just browned & has no sear whatsoever. I'm very saddened that what was my favourite sushi place appears to have either cut corners for an important holiday, or simply gone downhill altogether.

J adore cet endroit. Par contre, le service laisse à désirer. Les serveurs sont pas très souriants, ni très aimables. Cependant, cela ne me empêche pas d'y aller. Je sais à quoi m'attendre. Bon appétit!
Food was very average & the service was not great. We went on a Saturday at lunch & the selection was very limited compared to other acye sushi places.

It was my first time here & the food was really good! I was impressed that they even had takoyaki, & the sushi flambé ended up being my favorite. The waiting time for food was surprisingly fast, & the place itself feels very cozy & warm.
The only small downside was that dessert wasn't free, but everything else was great.
Overall: 8.7/10 😋
