I ordered chicken 65 on Uber from Hyderabadi Adda, it was bad, oily, full of colour, when I called Adda Restaurant to explain the food quality, the person answered the call spoke rudely explaining what a chicken 65 biryani is. It wasn't really a good experience with neither food nor the restaurant staff.

I am a regular customer here, & this experience has honestly left me extremely disappointed.

I ordered 2 biryanis, 1 Kharvepaku, & 1 Dilkush. On 29 august When we received the order, we got 2 Paneer 65 & biryanis instead of the Kharvepaku & Dilkush. I immediately called the restaurant & explained the situation. Instead of simply acknowledging that a mistake may have happened, the staff started sending me pictures & insisting that this could not have been the case.

I understand that restaurants can be extremely busy & that mistakes can happen. That is not the issue. The issue is how the situation was handled afterward.

At the time, we were leaving Montreal to travel, so we were unable to come back immediately as they requested. We had no choice but to eat the food we received. However, I was told that the restaurant would provide a replacement whenever we were able to come back.

Today, my friend called the restaurant to follow up. Initially, the staff completely denied that this conversation had ever happened. Later, she said she would call back, presumably after speaking with someone who had been working that day. When she called back, instead of acknowledging what had happened, she began arguing with us. First, she offered 50% compensation, & later changed it to one biryani for free.

To be very clear: this is not about compensation or getting free food.

What is extremely upsetting is that one of the staff members made the statement that people often lie just to get free food. That is an incredibly disrespectful & insulting thing to say to a customer, especially a regular customer who has supported your restaurant.

When my male friend intervened & asked, essentially, whether they genuinely thought we were trying to get free food, the conversation became even more disappointing.

We are not complaining because we want something for free. If an order is wrong, it is wrong. Mistakes happen. What customers expect is simply for the restaurant to acknowledge the mistake, apologize, & handle the situation professionally.

My friends had travelled from outside Montreal, & this experience left an especially bad impression on them. I had always considered this one of my favourite places, which is why this situation is so disheartening.

& unfortunately, this is not even the first time I have received the wrong order. I have previously had two Uber Eats orders where I ordered paneer biryani & received chicken biryani instead. So while I completely understand that mistakes can happen in a busy restaurant, repeatedly receiving incorrect orders & then being made to feel as though we are lying about them is simply unacceptable.

We also asked to speak with a manager, & we were told that the manager was not at the restaurant & was not answering the calls. That made the situation even more frustrating.

I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously & reviews what happened, because customer service is not just about correcting an order or offering compensation. It is also about how you speak to & treat your customers.

Accusing customers of lying or suggesting that they are complaining just to get free food is completely inappropriate.

I am not looking for free food. I am looking for accountability, acknowledgment, & basic respect.

This experience has genuinely changed the way I feel about a restaurant that I used to consider one of my favourites.

We ordered from Hyderabadi Adda on August 29 & ordered Paneer Dilkush & Paneer Kharbey Pakku. Unfortunately, we received Paneer 65 instead of the items we had ordered.

We called the restaurant immediately to let them know about the mistake. They told us that we could come back & get a replacement. We explained that we were leaving Montreal that same day & couldn't come back immediately. They said that was completely fine & that we could come later to get the replacement.

Today, when I called & said that I could come to pick up the replacement, I was suddenly told that they could only offer a 50% discount. Then the person at the counter said they could give us only one biryani for free, because they had only discussed one item previously but that's not true

That doesn't make sense because both of the items we ordered were wrong. We should have received the two items we originally ordered - one Paneer Dilkush & one Paneer Kharbey Pakku.

What made the situation even more disappointing was the customer service. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. The person at the counter repeatedly said that she was not responsible because she had only processed the bill & that the person who gave us the wrong order was responsible. She said she was trying to call her manager, but since the manager wasn't answering, she couldn't give us the second replacement.

She also mentioned that many customers call saying they received the wrong order & want a free biryani, which honestly felt like we were being treated as though we were making a false claim. We were not asking for anything extra-we were simply asking for the correct replacement for the food we had already ordered & paid for.

Mistakes can happen in any restaurant, & we understand that. But how you handle a mistake matters. A simple apology, acknowledgment, & proper resolution would have made a huge difference.

Very disappointed with the way this situation was handled & especially with the lack of accountability & customer service.

I had a terrible experience with the food. A friend of mine highly recommended the hyderabadi adda restaurant & try chicken dum biryani, but it was completely disappointing. The biryani was extremely dry, & even worse, the chicken was completely uncooked & raw inside. .I am highly disappointed. this is a major issue. Are you playing with customers' health & money?

All the chicken (65, kashmiri, mamidikaya etc) almost same flavour. I'm not saying is flavour is not good. Flavour good, but no difference.....
Service & atmosphere was okey okey, not that good not that bad.

So today, I ordered biryani through Uber & added a Coke to my order. When my order arrived, the Coke was missing. The same thing happened once before, & I ignored it at the time because I thought,'It's okay.'

This time, however, I called the restaurant because it was the second time this had happened. The issue is not just about the Coke itself. The problem is that I had already waited 40 minutes for my food after a long & tiring day at work, & then I discovered that part of my order was missing.

When I called, I was told that the next time I place an order, they would include an extra drink for me. I don't understand how that is an acceptable solution. When packing an order, shouldn't the staff check that all the items the customer paid for are included?

What disappointed me even more was the way the situation was handled. They told me they would call me back within five minutes with an update, but it has been over an hour & I still haven't received any call. On top of that, no one even apologized or acknowledged that this was their mistake.

I am very disappointed with the service & the lack of accountability shown in handling this issue.

Honestly one of the best meals we've had in a while!! Everything was SOOO good 😭🔥 The biryani was packed with flavour, the chicken dishes were amazing, & even the sweets at the end were delicious. We ordered a bunch of things & genuinely enjoyed everything. Portions were generous too. Already thinking about what I'm ordering next time 😂 Definitely coming back!! ❤?'
