For the deluxe breakfast for $23.49 which was a bit pricey but very filling. Ended up paying $12.49 for a coffee because I agreed to a shot of baileys so definitely overpriced considering it was filtered coffee & not a latte style'Irish coffee'. But, it was delicious & I enjoyed it & it's always nice having a drink at the airport. My waitress was amazing, I was sitting at the bar & she was very sweet & on the ball. Great experience, happy I picked this place over the Starbucks.
Service is alright, food is pretty good, but prices are ridiculous, over 30$ for a plain breakfast, 5$ coffee.
First you wait 5 minutes to called in. Then you wait 15 minutes to put your order in. Next you wait 25 minutes to get your omelette. Waitress never came back to refill your coffee or water….Finally you wait another 20 minutes your check. The place was less than 1/4 full…
If you are in a hurry or would like good food for the money you pay, do not come here. Had the breakfast BLT & there was 2 shrivelled overdone balls of bacon on a bagel for $20. We were unsuccessful getting additional coffee or water. Avoid & find another place.
Ordered the eggs Benedict at 4 am on a Monday & was delicious. Just wish the bread was a little more toasted & a bit more of the hollandaise sauce. Overall very good. Coffee was delicious.
3.5/5 Airport Breakfast Spot: A Pleasant Surprise Stopped by Houston Avenue Bar & Grill with my husband during our layover. The breakfast options were surprisingly varied, including omelets, pancakes, & healthier choices. Service was attentive, & our server ensured our coffee cups stayed full. Prices were reasonable for airport dining. While not gourmet, Houston Avenue Bar & Grill's a solid choice for travelers seeking a filling breakfast.
Two stars because they did help us out with taking an item off the bill at the end. I would avoid this place for breakfast. No one came over for 15 mins or more after we sat down, no coffee til 15 mins after that, our order was incorrect & by the time we got it we were starving, & no one helping the waitress bus tables. Really poor showing. I think they need to hire more staff.
I was surprised to see this restaurant have a 3.3 rating. I enjoyed it enought to leave a good review. The service was a little slow but it was busy. I enjoyed their classic breakfast with over hard eggs. It was delicious. The coffee was nice & strong. I was impressed considering we are at an airport. I recommend this for breakfast of you have time while you are waiting for your flight.
Good place to eat & have a coffee or beer at the US terminal of Pierre Elliott Trudeau international Airport (YUL)
