About

Hot Star Montreal specializes in authentic Taiwanese street food, primarily showcasing their signature giant fried chicken cutlets that span the size of a human face. This global franchise employs a specific marination and double-frying technique to ensure the chicken remains exceptionally juicy on the inside while achieving a perfectly crispy, golden-brown exterior. Patrons select from a variety of seasoning powders, such as original salt and pepper, spicy chili, or seaweed, to customize the flavor profile of their oversized portion. The menu provides a portable, handheld dining solution designed for efficiency and intense savory satisfaction. Beyond the iconic poultry, the selection includes various fried snacks and refreshing bubble teas that complement the rich, salty textures. Every order is prepared fresh upon request to guarantee the highest level of temperature and crunch.

Handheld lunch for a busy day, no time for sit & dine to enjoy a proper meal. Taiwanese Fried Chicken least 30 cm in size each cutlet & are so tender & juicy even if it is on the go.

This location has really gone down hill since it first opened. The tables are all broken & lean, the bathrooms haven't been cleaned in what looks like months. The chicken is also not as good quality as when it first opened.

I will put 3 star for now as I did not get a chance to order the food. I cancelled my order upon hearing that I needed to wait 20-mins for the chicken. Will definitely come back in the near future to taste the chicken.

Fun food. Large flat chicken piece in which a bone is also part of the impressive size. It's decent fried chicken but I wouldn't recommend to the most enthusiastic of fried chicken. The drinks are also surprisingly good.

The Korean chicken wings are one of the best in the cities. The chicken pop corn & fries are crispy & spicy. The owner was kind & welcoming. The place is clean & well maintained. Highly recommend the this place.

The beverages are definitely the highlight. I wouldn't recommend the original salt & pepper chicken as it's a little bland & dry & it doesn't come with any sauce, tho you can ask for ketchup. Fries are good. Overall the quality is fine if you want fried chicken, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. The wait time was also a bit long.
