About

Hoai Huong specializes in an extensive repertoire of Vietnamese and Chinese culinary traditions, offering a robust menu that highlights authentic regional preparations. Patrons frequently select signature bowls of aromatic phở, characterized by complex, long-simmered broths infused with star anise, cinnamon, and fresh herbs. The kitchen also executes classic stir-fried Cantonese dishes and savory rice plates featuring marinated grilled meats. Crisp spring rolls and fresh summer rolls serve as standard accompaniments, showcasing a commitment to traditional textures and vibrant ingredients. The dining space maintains a focused atmosphere suitable for sampling diverse flavor profiles, ranging from spicy chili-based sauces to delicate steamed vegetable preparations. Every plate emphasizes a balance of umami and brightness, ensuring that essential staples of East Asian gastronomy are represented with technical precision and consistent quality.

Review Summary

Hoai Huong receives mixed reviews from diners, with many praising the restaurant for its authentic, flavorful Vietnamese dishes, particularly the soups, pho, and gluten-free options. Loyal customers frequently highlight the fresh ingredients and excellent service as reasons to return, while some find the dining experience to be inconsistent. Recent feedback points to concerns regarding declining quality in certain signature dishes, long wait times, and issues with portion balance or lack of sauce in specific meals. While some visitors consider it the best Vietnamese spot in the region, others feel the current offerings do not always match the price, leading to varying levels of satisfaction.

Ordered online, which was easy & fast. The service was good & fast! While entering the restaurant, there was a funny smell between the entrance doorways... Once in the restaurant it was pretty clean & i was greeted quickly. Food wise, i ordered the pad thai & spring rolls. The pad thai was bland & had only 2 shrimp. Spring rolls were decent, nothing more. It's a bit pricy, 20$ for 2 shrimp pad thai & a few morsels of chicken tossed with a handful of lettuce & a few undercooked peppers. The food doesn't taste bad, but doesn't taste much.

The dishes were all quite good. Spring rolls were excellent. Seems to close early. Nine-ish or so.
