Happy Lamb Hot Pot is described as a spacious, clean restaurant on the second floor near the main intersection of Chinatown in Montreal, with large windows that keep the space bright and a calm, not too noisy atmosphere. The all-you-can-eat buffet offers a wide range of ingredients and a sauce bar, though some labels are mixed up and vegetarian options are fairly limited, with calls for more tofu, veggie dumplings, and meat-free broth bases. Food appears fresh and well stocked, with lamb and other meats praised and the tomato and hot sour broths offering different profiles, even if one broth was noted as underseasoned. Service is generally friendly and efficient, with several staff members highlighted for good, quick service, and prices described as reasonable, making it suitable for family meals, dates, or casual outings; lunch is typically cheaper and birthday freebies are mentioned. A few negatives appear, including a hygiene concern from one reviewer who reported food poisoning, a challenging entrance with stairs, and occasional crowding or a cafeteria-like vibe. Overall, the restaurant stands out for its variety, generous portions, lively atmosphere, and accessibility of sauces and ingredients, making it a popular option for hot pot lovers in Montreal.
If you wanna bring someone or a group out for a nice meal you actually have to sit & prepare yourself in a authentic Chinese fondue, here's the place. I recommend to go hungry. You'll be glad you did. That broth..... The one guy that got the hot & spicy got what he asked for.

The price is hella low. 21$ for a buffet? It's been 21$ since like 2023. & the employees are nice too. This is like the only place in montreal with such prices... If you go there, please don't abuse the food! Or give extra tips if you ate too much,,, else I feel they might just increase the price haha...
Best hot pot ever, Guys,Let me tell you that Every time that I go there , it's amazing. The food is amazing, The price it's good also the service. I'm telling you ,if you wanna go somewhere to have fun & enjoy with family or friend.I recommend there , go there.
Un restaurant de fondue asiatique, avec un'buffet' à volonté, beaucoup de variétés, poissons, fruit de mer, pieuvre, boeuf, agneau & beaucoup de choix de nouilles, très bon
Came here 6y ago & decided to come again now for my friend's birthday, the meats are amazing, you get to choose all kinds of vegetables & sodas are included! What else do you need? take ONLY what you know you are going to eat.
Great food. Lots of selection including free soda. Reasonable price especially with items like shrimps & lamb. Only issue is the entrance. Extremely dangerous flight of stairs to get to the entrance. Same flight of stairs downwards. Additionally, not much space at the top with a low ceiling at one point which seems kinda dangerous.
I love the large sauce selection & sides. Additionally, friendly staff & free on your birthday.
My husband & I ate here & both got food poisoning. Please be careful - the hygiene here is terrible. Running a business like this is unacceptable. I'm in pain right now because of it.
Best hotpot ever. I always get the curry broth, I've tried the others, but this one is by far the best & there are lots of mix-in options (pasta, vegetables, meats, fish). The lamb is to die for & highly recommend. Lunch is cheaper than supper. There are a little less options, but it's also less busy.

I've been there many times & would definitely go back. Its a all you can eat. There is less food when is lunch time like no sea food but its $21.99. Dinner has more choices at $28.99. You can go as a couple or as group. The staff speak very well French & English. Its a very relax environment.
It was a great experience, food was delicious. We were 2 people & we paid $75 + tip total. We ordered the clear & piquant broth.
Regular drinks are included, but I preferred to have more space for food than drinks.
The staff were super friendly!
Good food with tasty choices of meat & a decent amount of vegetables. The spicy hot pot is not really spicy at all & they take a while to refill the sides once there is no more.
