We enjoyed sitting out on the patio-it was a beautiful day, & the outdoor setting was genuinely pleasant. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of an otherwise disappointing dining experience.
For a Mexican restaurant, the margarita was surprisingly disappointing - easily one of the worst I've ever had. It was overly sweet & tasted like it had been made with a cheap, store-bought mix. The bartender appeared quite young & inexperienced, which may have contributed to the poor quality. In fact, the drink was so off-putting that we ended up ordering a shot of tequila just to try to balance the taste - but even that didn't help.
The food was mediocre at best. I ordered the chicken fajitas, which came smothered in cheese - an odd choice that didn't add anything to the dish. Overall, the food lacked flavor & seasoning, leaving us underwhelmed.
Service was passable, but when we expressed our concerns about the drinks, we were met with a shrug & no offer to remedy the situation, which was disappointing.
In the end, the experience didn't leave us with any reason to return. When I ask myself,'Would I come back?' - the answer, at least for now, is no.
On avait réservé en se disant qu'on allait avoir une belle table… pas vraiment… la cuisine est salée & on vous dit que c'est piquant mais ce ne l'est pas. On avait vraiment hâte de boire des drink avec de la bonne tequila, c'est vraiment ordinaire. On a été déçu, ça ne vaut pas le prix selon moi.
Service can be a little slow (but friendly), food is your typical Canadianized-TexMex fare, but everything was good & they have a good number of vegetarian & vegan options. Prices have gotten extremely high though , especially for the portion size & drinks.

Aucun accueil lorsque nous sommes arrivés. Les membres du service ont à peine levé les yeux alors que nous cherchions notre table, & le restaurant était pratiquement vide. Sur la terrasse, des cerises au marasquin dormaient sur le bar extérieur, attirant une centaine de guêpes, tous les employés ont passé des commentaires sur la situation mais rien a été fait, vraiment embêtant pour les clients d'une aussi belle sur la terrasse. La nourriture était fade, le menu n'est pas élaboré, heureusement que les drinks y sont bons. On aurait dit que le lieu n'avait pas vu le.la gérant.e depuis longtemps tant il y avait du laisser aller.
Second visit here, the food is still good but the service has dropped considerably. TLDR: food is good when prepared properly, service quality is poor being ignored nearly the entire time & receiving food nearly an hour after ordering while others ordered & ate despite arriving after us. Don't recommend for the service but food is good & the terrace is nice. Restaurant was at maybe half capacity when we arrived & were seated for 30mins before being asked for our order, an entree of taquitos dorados came after 15mins with 2/3 rolls full of nothing but plain mashed potatoes & the last stuffed with only chicken. Waited another 35mins for our main course of nachos & tacos, the carnitas tacos were great, gf's nachos were okay. Waitress was more occupied with visiting the table her friends were at then checking in on us, only came twice during our dinner, once to pick up the entree plate that had been empty for 15mins on the edge of the table & to ask if we wanted more drinks, then again when we had literally just received our main course not even having taken a bite to ask if everything was to taste. The tables with her friends & another with a family of 4 both arriving after we had already ordered & been waiting over 10mins, received & finished their meals before we received a thing. The waitress didn't check in to explain or apologize for the delays in the kitchen although she had the time to chit chat with her friends & other staff the vast majority of our stay. Willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the kitchen for the slow speed but the service & communication from the wait staff leaves much to desire.
The location is pretty, they have a nice terrace but it was too cold to eat or drink anything out there. The Jackfruit Nachos was interesting for those who want a vegetarian substitute for Ground beef. Not the same texture or taste, but that's what I think they were aiming for. The Shrimp wrapped in sausage was absolutely awesome. It was delicious & was fantastic. Price is a little high, but it's Magog, so you have to expect it. Still had a good time. Reserve or come early, this place get's packed.
Super service accommodant en lien avec notre jeune bébé ! Deux détails utiles à savoir : 1- les grains de maïs étaient encore gelés dans la salade. 2- la propreté n'est pas aussi top en bas comparativement à en haut (salle commune). Cela dit, nos repas & drinks étaient délicieux. Merci pour votre belle présence dans la communauté magogoise.
We arrived at 18:00 on sunday September 24th, 2023 at this restaurant & two employees looked at us & took a while to be acknowledged.
Finally seated down, we were given a pitcher of water & no glass. Took 20 min to have at least an employee to come ask what we would drink & another 10 minute (required us to ask) for glasses for the water.
At 19:17, we have ordered but yet received any type of food. The food was good.
Talking again about the water, no refills on the water at anytime following the initial water pitcher.
Service given by these employees is to be revised by management & training should be given on how to great a customer when the employees initially see them. Example: "Hi, we will be with you in a moment" if the employee cant be with the customer right away.
Example 2: When passing & finishing with another customer, the employees should be asking the neighboring table if anything is requires or missing etc.
Wonder what takes place in this establishement (any managers or employees roam free for all)?
FYI, we had to request water glasses for the water pitcher, we had to ask for utensiles etc.
Management needs to revise this operation from top to bottom - urgently !
Très belle expérience, tout était parfait! La terrasse arrière est superbe & très conviviale. La nourriture était très bonne, les drinks également, le service rapide & courtois. J'y retournerais sans hésiter quand nous retournons à Magog.
