The sopa de tortillas as a latina it was not up to my standards just very mid but my boyfriend loved it. Tacos de pollo were good & although the flautas are not traditionals they were very good! Would definitely come back
That's a really good mexican restaurant, but not an authentic one in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, the food is really good, but I don't feel like I'm eating in Mexico when I eat there. I definitely recommend it, though.
Nicely located authentic Mexican cuisine restaurant in Marche de l'Ouest. Nice menu selection, fairly large servings & reasonable pricing. Nice decors. Good selection of cocktails & 4 Mexican beers. Huge parking & close t Sources Blvd.
Great soups & salads. Relaxing atmosphere at lunch & a fun vibe in the evening. Decor & music fitting of latinamérica. Service has always been quick on my visits, even with larger groups. Now if you are a Latino & are expecting a Mexican style taco similar to what you tried in Mexico City choose something else as they are not the same style. The tacos you find here are more of a Tex-Mex taco. If you want something more authentic to Mexico, try the enchiladas. On my latest visit I tried the lamb burrito which is also Tex-Mex. It was accompanied by beans & a salad which were both very satisfying, The burritos are cut in two & so you can always easily bring one half home. They would also make a decent order to-go meal. For the drink I recommend the Mai Tai. Now if you want something sweet to eat at the end of your meal try some churros with hot chocolate. Give them a try, especially if you've never had any. They are originally from Spain but are also very popular desserts in the former Spanish colonies such as Mexico, Peru & Panama.
Our server was amazing ! Very attentive. Kitchen was awesome; our food was exquisite, hot, flavorful, & authentic. Loved it !! Highly recommended for couples, double dates, families, girl's night, & early birds !!
Good service. Nice ambiance. Food okay but for sure no authentic mexican taste there.
Our first time visit & the food quality was very good. The service was excellent! Will be back. Have only 4 stars instead of 5 because it was not as authentic as i am used to. But overall very good.
What an amazing restaurant!!!
The food was really amazing, generous portion size, authentic with a twist!
Delicious flavours.
The service was great, friendly enthusiastic staff & very knowledgeable bar tender.
The decor is spectacular, all of the details well attended to down to each beautiful dish!!
Loved it overall, will go back for sure.
awesome to have a great Mexican place in the west island!
I like the vibe of this place, great food, I love the bar area, your margarita is authentic, great job guys
Best of west island Mexican restaurants at this point & we need so many more. Right now only one of authentic ones. Very laid back. No need to dress up. Very busy,. Reservations are important right now. Ceviche is really good albeit too much liquid when served. Needs to be strained prior to serving but quire authentic. Hubby liked the beef tacos a lot. Very beefy (?) & less filling. Queso fundido very good. Drinks were amazing. Caipirinha Drinks were sooooo good. Hubby liked the margueritas! Not watered down! Service was great
Nice to have a new Mexican place in the West Island again. Location is great, parking is easy, restaurant bright & airy without the typical cheesy Mexican 'decor', seating is original & comfortable, the place has everything going for it to become an 'it' place but...
... Music is way too loud: can hardly hear each other sitting across the table from each other
... Service was interminably long: got our drinks & appetizers within 15 minutes when restaurant was empty, but as it was filling up, it took approx. 40 minutes for the waiter to come back to take our orders which were served somewhere between warm & hot, about 35 minutes later (we had been seated 90 minutes by then). We had to wait another 20 minutes or so after having finished our meals for the waiter to come check in on us. We were not offered coffee or dessert, nor we would have been willing to wait around for them. By the time the bill was paid & we walked out, we had been in the restaurant for 2:35 hours!
... Menu is a modern mix between traditional Mexican & modern (ex: ceviche sushi!) which is refreshing, but disappointing if you were hoping for some authentic fare. As for the dishes's execution, presentation was nice, but flavors & seasoning is off (2 orders of guacamole were too salty - should be more lime & just a pinch of salt - Piña Colada was sickeningly too rich & sweet, chicken tacos were a complete mess of blandness while the chipotle steak & vegetables was a delight.)
... Staff seems overwhelmed with waiters serving all areas of the dining room at ones (rather than sections), could not explain their dishes well (is the chicken molé, red or green molé? euh... let me check).** we were asked not to push the authentic Mexican plates on the table so as not to scratch the tables !
As mentioned above, this place has everything to make it a cool place to dine, but a few weeks into its existence, it seems to be unprepared to deliver the level of experience that will make people go back. I certainly hope they get a handle on things very quickly because I want to try out a few more items on the menu.... & I hope the next time will be better, otherwise there will not be a 3rd... sadly.
Amazing New Mexican restaurant in the west island.
We started with different cocktails from their bar, margaritas, mohito, an explosion of colors & fruity favors.
We were a large group, & I got the opportunity to try many items on the menue; the guacamole was fresh & served in a nice stone bowl, the beef quesadila was authentic, my snapper was a feast. My wife had the ceviche & I had a taste, yummy.
Beautiful dishes, generous portions, colorful setting. I had the chance to travel often to Mexico & this place is as Mexican as it gets.
I look forward to trying other dishes on their menu
