Located in the vicinity of Atwater Market, Geppetto offers delicious pizza made in a wood burning oven, but this isn't just any ordinary oven, it's an Italian wood burning oven. Here you will taste some excellent dishes with good value for money in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere surrounded by a retro-style decor with antique pictures and mirrors. Well spaced banquet tables allow you to spend pleasant moments in a warm environment and during the summer months you can also enjoy a beautiful terrace.
The menu consists of a good selection of pizza, salads, starters and desserts. The starters are really recommended, as well as their homemade desserts, especially the chocolate tart. The pizzas are prepared with fresh products and the highest quality ingredients such as mozzarella di buffala and prosciutto! Simply delicious! Their menu of the day is presented on a chalk board and accompanied by a list of cocktails.
Restaurant Geppetto is a very inviting place with a simple and successful cuisine. With just one bite of pizza, you'll get a huge smile on your face.
Geppetto Pizzeria delights with wood fired pizza, flavorful pastas, and a cozy, inviting atmosphere that many describe as genuinely Italian. The restaurant is praised for good value, a thoughtful wine selection, and a terrace option when the weather cooperates. Service is frequently described as warm and attentive, with staff that make guests feel welcome, though a few visits note isolated hiccups and moments of slower service. Overall, guests leave impressed by the quality of food and the lively yet relaxed vibe, and many say they would return for a repeat visit.
Had a reservation for 7:00 pm for my niece's birthday. We got seated next to the windows that needed a serious caulking job as we could feel the cold wind from the cracks, needless to say in minus 30°c weather we were freezing. We put our scarves on the window sills. It's not a big issue & an easy fix, the restaurant was nice & we were well seated. The waiter gave un 1 wine menu for a table of 20 people & when I asked for a second one I got a side eye lolll the waiter was so rude. We had to constantly be at the lookout for the him if we needed something cause there was no asking if we needed anything. This is a small restaurant & being able to get service shouldn't be so hard. Finally we got our drinks 35 minutes later. I ordered a bloody Cesar thinking I would get a nice tall glass with a little more garnish that an olive & a small pepper, cause normally this is the largest drink on the menu in restaurants & I was disappointed when I got a small flute with mostly ice. Did it taste good? Yes. Was I worth 12$ hell no. 🤦🏼?♀? rest of the food was good but not worth the price, we got an antipasto for 2 people at 35$, not the greatest we had… my husband got bavette for 28$ he had at most 3oz of meat & a small side of stir fried veggies, 1/3 cup at most. I took the mushroom pasta it was good & the portion was ok as well. I asked for a coffee at the end of the dinner around 9pm & got it at 10 after asking for it multiple times, we got the bill & it cost us 160$. Was the food tasty? Yes, was it worth 160$ for what we got? No. To top it all off we couldn't get paper bills for some reason & the interac machine wasn't working 🤦🏼?♀? I don't like to bash businesses with the economy we have but at the same time people work hard to go out & eat & they deserve to be at least comfortable & well served. Food is always debatable. Service was bad. I will not be going back.
It was not a real Italian pizza & pasta, but 69$ for a pasta & pizza & salad with a bottle of wine is really reasonable!! Our waiter Philip was very smart who recognized my wife & me after one year! Generally nice place to spend time in evening.

We ordered two pastas, & some salads & cocktails. Overall service was great however food was rather lacking. Pastas are weighed down by heavy cream & lack much taste & texture. We saw some other people order pizzas which unfortunately looked very flat & not fluffy or soft. Our cocktails were basic but acceptable. Applaud the friendly service however food does not stand out at all.
My wife & I used to go to this restaurant often before we had our son so this was not our first time. However it was the first time in a while because they were closed at this location for a lot of the spring. Anyway my wife & I took our 16 month old son there this past Friday evening. The service & food was amazing as always. When we first arrived they had a little trouble finding a high chair for our son but I really appreciate that one of the people working there went out of his way to make sure we got our high chair, even checking their sister restaurant next door. There was a deal on drinks (we got some Aperol Spritz's) & they had a kids menu which was perfect for our son (things like pizza, etc). The foccacia appetizer was great, we were expecting bread with oil but it was closer to a garlic bread pizza (came out of the pizza oven) & was much larger than expected. My wife got the funghi pasta which she LOVED & I got the seafood linguine (with salmon & shrimp). We sat inside, which was fairly quiet, food came fast even though their terrace was packed, & the waitress brought a coloring book for our son to keep him entertained till the food arrived. Was always a nice place for a date (as I mentioned we used to go a lot before our son was born) but also great for a family dinner as well. Very highly recommend.
Only negative: The place was exceptionally noisy due to large groups.
The food was excellent: we shared grilled veggie salad with beets, pizza of the day & chicken tagliatelle pasta. More than enough food for us. Waiter conveniently split the bill into 3 for us.
Great pizza place, the restaurant is cozy & really intimate. We've booked for 9pm & we were amazingly surprised by the menu for 2 (before 6pm & after 9pm) that comes with a big cesar salad, 2 choices of pizza or pasta (limited selection but with a lot of choices) & a bottle wine for 60$. The food quality was great, the free red wine bottle was good & the service was super friendly & always passing by to make sure you're ok. I would go again for sure.
Good food, but a bit expensive for what we get. I had seafood pasta, not worth it ...... pizza is a much better choice.
The terrace is great. Service is OK.
The service, the food & the atmosphere are always consistent! An all around excellent choice for a great pizza, chef's specials including creative pastas which are always on point & of course, their famous grilled octopus served on top of houmous. Tasteful & creative - pasta done perfectly. Philipe - always a great host, greeting the usuals with a welcoming smile!
Service was quick & attentive. We were never left wanting for anything. Food was fresh, hot,& delicious. We got a pasta dish & a pizza. Paired the pasta with a nice white wine. Can't wait to come back!
Pizza was delicious as always. I love that they have gluten free options for pizza & pasta too! We sat outside & the atmosphere was perfect. Would have given a 4.5 if it was possible, only didn't give a 5 because the service was a bit slow & they made a mistake on the order but were very accommodating about it. Will definitely go back again soon.
