Frite Alors! draws praise for crispy fries cooked in beef fat, crowd pleasing poutines, and flavorful smash burgers, with many noting a signature potato bread that adds a buttery touch and mayo aioli for dipping; the menu covers fries, burgers, and salads, and portions are generous for the price. Service is described as polite, efficient, and attentive even when busy, with staff keeping surfaces clean and the kitchen visible at times; the atmosphere is lively and friendly, with a retro vibe, comic book decorations, and a window for ordering that works well for takeout or nights when the interior is crowded. The place offers a casual setting with outdoor seating and a drive-through style option nearby, making it easy to enjoy inside or to go.
Best poutine in town & no one will change my mind. The portions are great, the fries are soft & the varieties are yummy. The only thing though, they stopped having the Mexican poutine with guacamole which really makes me sad, the other poutines are good.
The food was really good! We tried the classic poutine & the Montréalaise & both of them were good! The fries aren't salty & the gravy isn't too heavy, highly recommend

Cute little spot serving fries, burgers, & poutine. It's right beside a small park, perfect for enjoying your meal outside in summer. The place has a retro vibe, is clean, & the staff are very friendly. Food is decent, though a bit overpriced for the quality. Expect to pay around 15-20% more than what it feels worth. 🚨 Oh & they use beef fat in frying oil so Hindus & vegans should proceed with caution ⚠?
Excellent smashburger! It was super crispy, incredible sauce with the perfect amount of onion & pickle. Poutine is always amazing here, the fries are fresh & stay crispy. Tons of flavor & well made food!
If youre are a Montréal résident, you well know this is a safe bet No nonsense morish joint, But if youre visiting you have to just go. This place is good times. Fries are good & there are choices for everyone. Usually the employees are fun kind & weird that know well their game on the frier & planche . Burgers , poutine or just fries, whatever, bring it on . Délicieux + get a petit caribou beer also. So good!! I just went & loved it once more.

One would expect an establishment that has "chien chaud" (& not "ott dugg") to serve hot sausages. However, my chien chaud was completely cold, & the fries were lackluster. 3 stars is generous, sorry.
