Trop de souvenirs flous pour ne pas aimer l'endroit. C'est tout le début de ma vie adulte qui y a passé & si je ne m'en souviens que trop peu, ça veut dire que c'était génial!
This was the venue for a band I saw play recently. The concert itself was awesome. I only hung out upstairs for the show, but it was a cool spot. I only ordered a soda, so no reference for drink prices or service really.
My friend & I came here last night to watch @NicotineDolls. Very different experience than clubbing in my 20s. Clean, open & friendly staff.
There was a fan blowing at us in the balcony, so it wasn't too hot. A perfect venue fo smaller bands. Very well put together.
1ere fois aux Foufounes bar mythique & je dois dire que je repars avec un avis plus que mitigé.
Nous avons commandé des bières & 1 pichet de sangria & la personne au bar à chargé 30$ (soit 3x pintes) pour,le pichet au lieu de 26$ car apparement le prix du pichet n'est pas enregistré dans la caisse (selon son explication). Pratique plus que douteuse ...
Lors d'une soirée, bar plein ce doit être très lucratif !
Excitée pour le concert de notre ami, ma conjointe & moi décidons d'aller l'encourager. Même pas entrer, le bouncer nous crie dessus & nous donne le pire regard de l'univers pour nous pointer l'entrer. Comme… are you ok? Déjà la, 0/10. Arrivée au bar, on demande un shooter. La bartender nous regarde encore une fois avec un regard de jugement & nous répond sec. Écoute, en voyant les réponses du propriétaire / gérant… pas étonnant que les employés soient aussi rude.
Never again.
PS; en discutant avec des gens, on s'est vite rendu compte qu'on avait la même expérience. Degeulasse.
My absolute favorite bar in Montréal! The music is great (punk, rock & metal but you will survive!), the beer selection is good & the beer is cheap! They also have a venue upstairs for shows & nice, green terrasse in the back! A non-nogotiable if you are visiting Montréal!
3 eme visite, avec à chaque fois l'idée de me dire « oh t'es peut être tombée sur un mauvais jour, allez réessaie » mais c'est à chaque fois sans appel : le service est déplorable 😭😅 attente malgré plusieurs serveurs derrière le bar & peu de personne au comptoir, 0 sourire, pas de bonjour, ni merci etc

I've been looking for a place with rock concerts & local bands for a while now. This is definitely the place. The audience seemed to be over 30, but I went to a Pearl Jam cover show, so don't take that unique experience as a basis for the audience that frequents the place. But the atmosphere is really cool. On the second floor where the show is taking place, there are some free arcade games, as well as a pool table & a table football. The sound is really good, & the quality of the bands that played was incredible!!!! The only thing that wasn't perfect for me was the delay in starting the shows. This, in particular, frustrated me a little, but it didn't detract from the quality of the connection at all. However, for the next show, I'll be prepared for some delay.
