Review Summary

Fantasie is described as a warm, welcoming place with tasty meals and friendly service. The owner is noted as very nice, and regulars say they visit with friends for years and enjoy the experience. The menu is classic, featuring items like dumpling soup or imperial rolls, and dishes that reflect a Vietnamese style Asian restaurant with generally solid portions. The ambiance is pleasant, not the trendiest aesthetically, but very agreeable. Service is described as good and attentive at times, though some reviews mention it can feel disjointed or a bit too fast, not always allowing diners to savor the moment. Bring your own wine is a noted feature. Overall the food is tasty and portions are reasonable, with some remarks that it may not be the best but is very good; a few critiques mention moments of blandness or dishes that lack wow factor, as well as references to cleanliness and frozen ingredients suggesting a renewal might be in order. The sense across reviews is that Fantasie offers a solid, worthwhile dining experience and is worth the price for its atmosphere and dependable flavors.

Première expérience à ce resto.
Grande satisfaction sur le service, la nourriture, l'ambiance & l'emplacement. Prix très abordable. En plein coeur du village.
nous allons y retourner.

The restaurant looks nice, the terrace is ok. Right in the lively gay quarter. We went there for dinner because we had to wait half an hour in another restaurant to get in. I wish we had waited.
The only good thing about it was the Wonton Soup & the fact that you could bring your own wine. Service was correct, but the food is very ordinary. An experience you want to forget as soon as possible.
There's much better Asian restaurants around. Sad business, not worth a visit.
