The coffee is really tasty but the hours really don't make sense to me. Closed on Mondays (when people might be laziest to make their own coffees after the weekend) & only open at 9AM to I guess serve the unemployed? 😂 I'll be back, but hours lower my rating here - they kinda make it hard for me to come back as often as I would like!
5 for the fact that they put ice in their free water, & the music & vibe is a 10. A lot of competition in mile end but it's clear they want to be different which is a good look. Coffee is pretty good too.

I have been here multiple times because I wanted to be sure of what I was experiencing. The atmosphere is gorgeous. Very'of-the moment' with the vintage speakers, disco ball, & brushed aluminum shelving. The service is pretty lacking. The baristas are a tad shy, snarky, & aloof at the same time. Coffee is okay-ish. Pastries are tasty.
I love the ambiance at FAME-love going there with my friends or just to get some work done. I discovered some almond pastries there, & now I get one every time I go!
We visited at 4pm on a Sunday. There was one barista, & a DJ. The DJ behind the counter was useless. The barista was doing it all, taking orders & payments, table service, making drinks, heating food, etc. We were third & fourth in line after another couple & it took us over 20 minutes to get our drinks (to go), & only after receiving our drinks did he put our food in the oven to warm up. There were dirty cups & garbage on the bar, & no clean spoons for stirring drinks. The barista was obviously overworked & in the middle of a rush with no help. Glad there was a DJ though. My advice is try to focus on running a functioning cafe before trying to over-curate your pretentious vibes with a vinyl DJ on a Sunday afternoon. This is what the mile end has come to I guess.
