Reviews describe Falafel Yoni as consistently fresh and flavorful, with crispy outside and soft inside falafel, creamy hummus, and generously filled pitas that many call the best falafel in Montreal, along with delicious sabich and a strong homemade feel from a simple, well priced menu. Many note a warm, efficient service and a friendly, welcoming vibe, with dine in and takeout both praised for reliability and good portions. Some items receive mixed feedback, such as zaatar fries that don’t always impress, pita that can be cold or not warm enough, and occasional wait times; there are also hygiene caveats mentioned at one location regarding gloves and hair, and a note about the restaurant adding meat options that divided vegetarians, though meatless choices remain highly regarded. Overall the reviews converge on high quality, generous servings, fresh ingredients, and a memorable experience that keeps customers returning and recommending Falafel Yoni for a reliable, satisfying falafel fix.
Best falafel in Montreal! I'm not sure how one restaurant managed to find all the nicest & most cheerful staff in the city. We love coming here for both dine in & take out!
Hands down the most magnificent falafel I've ever had. A generous serving of red cabbage, pickles, hummus & a spicy sauce (optional), supporting crispy & moist falafel which has never, ever been dry in my many orders over the years. Not sure how they do it. Vegans, support this business. Nate at the Verdun location is a great guy. I'd give 6 stars if I could... damn this is good food!
Best hummus I've ever had by far! Everything tastes super fresh & flavorful. Great portion size. Already ate this twice this week. Really glad to have discovered this spot :)
Since moving to Verdun, we've become regulars at Falafel Yoni. When my family visited recently late summer, my six-year-old nephew, a very picky eater, was curious about the food. We bought him a few falafel balls & told him they were'crunchy like fries.' He took one bite, declared it one of the best things he'd ever eaten, & devoured 9 more. Now, every time he calls, he insists we stop at Falafel Yoni… so definitely a must-have!
